If there are no fees, why not? I can see my friend doing this. FOr her birthday we always sponsor an animal of some sort in her name/honour. She prefers that.

Yes. I only read the top part where it said "feed the needy" etc etc... So, here I am thinking they are registering for charities and stuff. Nope, they are registering for you to pay their bills. Not cool or clever.Everyone who gave us cash told us to put it towards our honeymoon or something for our house. Not to HEAT our house.

Yeah no. To me this is basically like telling people "give us money." I mean, I guess in a way it's much like a honeymoon registry, but I just don't see myself buying one of these "registry items" if I were a guest.

This couple seems very arrogant. They went to Stanford, big whup. I am all for marketing yourself for your business but your wedding isn't a sales meeting. They seem to think their idea is brilliant and original but really, it is the same as a honeymoon registry. I think the engineer is having white truffle omelets for breakfast, full lunch, and Nobu for dinner.
