We had 3 new brides come out on one day! I missed it because I was in Pittsburgh with very limited internet, but I did see it when I checked in for a few minutes over the weekend.
Oh, and the FIRST wine GTG (there are 2 now) is April 23 at Chadds Ford. Not sure who is coming, I'll have to post. The second one is May something and Ooodsie is coordinating it.
Paprika: I like it when you burp in my ear. It really turns me on.

haha I am glad that excites you guys I actually need to get insurance yet. So I hope I am not preggo just yet. I dont want to have any issues after I get the insurance and then I find I am prego, and then I find the conception date is before the effective date.

Seriously.... if I didn't have insurance... I'd be screwed. I have all these special blood tests/ultra sounds because of being high risk. if you have a normal pregnancy you are only looking at 3 ultra sounds and a round of blood work before hospital stay, but if not, god help you with those damn medical bills. We would owe through the roof with all the BS we've had to go through.

Ditto. Pregnancy can be a preexisting condition and you will be SOL if you don't take care of this before getting pregnant. Also, insurance companies go by the old theory that everyone ovulates on Day 14, which is not true, but they won't listen if you tell them otherwise and you will be screwed.
I know, my friend sells it, and I know how much it is etc, but I got too busy before I left to fill the application out. I will do it this week. And do my taxes... ugh.
Cara- yea I know, thats why I hope I am not yet. I just hope the next effective date is really soon so i don't run into a problem. And I wont tell the insurance company that I am not trying to prevent pregnancy, that is what my friend told me to do, dont tell them you want to TTC at all. and Thanks!
I know its your life and not mine, but you might want to consider preventing until you get your insurance straightened out. I personally do not think its worth the risk.
I have to agree with Cara, it's not a chance you should take! If something happens, it can screw your finances for a long, long time! My neice was in the NICU for over 3 months. If they didn't have insurance, there is no way they would ever be able to pay off those medical bills!
It's esp. not worth the risk in case it's not a flawless pregnancy. I'm not even kidding you I've had 5 U/S's already, and one more coming up this month, and one more at 20 weeks, where most people would have had TWO.
I know there is insurance for people that get pregnant. I think my friend had no insurance every time she was pregnant actually. But yes I know, I will get on it
FWIW, when I was KU I switched jobs and subsiquently switched insurance companies. They didn't determine it a preexisting condition- pregnancy is 99% of the time excluded from that clause. (I know with IBX it is, as is Aetna, Highmark, & United) You can totally get covered by PA insurance- it's usually free or at a really inexpensive cost/mo. I was in the same boat as BP- high risk. I had an ultrasound 2x in the first tri, and 4-5x in the second... then once a week the third tri. Plus, the blood work, testing for gest. diabetes... Just having her in the hospital was 2900 for each of us. It cost me $200 total.

Welcome back and ditto all the insurance stuff! SIL had a healthy pregnancy until week 28 I think. Then she spent a week in the hospital for preterm labor and then another night a little later on. She was on bed rest for 8 weeks. Thankfully baby and mommy and healthy but if they didn't have insurance they would be screwwwwed.
You missed Ladybug coming back too. She was only gone a week but her wedding was gorgeous! Great sunny day for a wedding for the two of you.

Paprika is right... pregnancy is not considered pre existing condition for medical coverage (at least not employer provided, you can inquire about individual). http://www.dol.gov/ebsa/faqs/faq_consumer_hipaa.html
It is an exclusion for most disability coverages (which don't apply to you anyway as a nanny).
Sorry, didn't really want to jump on the OMG get insurance bandwagon, but just wanted to clarify.
In other news, I had some family ish regarding my bday, and drink and Amer were nice enough to take me out for a drink. Things still aren't resolved, so you may see a vent if I get upset enough (I cried on Saturday talking to DH... boo).
