Flower costs and Florists??

I'm starting to look into booking a florist and have no clue about prices when it comes to flowers. I have no problem paying the price for a good florist, however I don't want to be ripped off either.So I guess my question is what is a reasonable budget for my flowers...my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, corsages, etc for this area? I recently met with one florist who said his brides bouquets started at $150 and bridesmaids at $50. Does this sound about right for the area?Also, any florist recommendations? I have a meeting with J. Elizabeth Designs this week, has anyone used them?

My bouquet is going to cost $150, and my bridesmaids are $50, so the price sounds right. I budgeted about $2000.00 for flowers and I am actually under budget. I recommend Lloyd's florist on Preston Hwy. I love Michael, he actually got my ideas and "ran with it"

I used J. Elizabeth Designs. Jill did a great job - I loved my bouquets. Her prices were cheaper than what you have above - I believe I paid something around $130 for mine and $35 each for BMs.

Mike at Lloyd's is WONDERFUL! As is his assistant Laura. J. Elizabeth Designs does a great job too. Both are good solid choices.

I just met with Sarah from Country Squire and I love her! My bouquet was around $120.00 and the bridal party bouquets are $50.00 each. Boutionniers were around $ 8.00 a piece, mother's bouquets around $20.00 and so on. For everything, including centerpieces and ceremony flowers it was under $ 1200.00 which I thought was extremely reasonable. She really works with your budget and actually brings out the flowers and puts them together in front of you so you know what your arrangements will look like. Hope this helps!

I met with Sarah from Country Squire yesterday and now I have a girl-crush on her. And I think my mom does too. When we left she whined, "I don't wanna meet with another florist, I wanna use Saarrraaahhh!"I am going to make an appointment with Lloyd's soon too, just to see if he comes up with any good ideas I might like better.
