We booked our honeymoon! We're going on a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean the day after the wedding! It's my first cruise ever, so any tips or suggestions are welcome!!

congrats! my suggestions are

- go to the doctor and get dramamine patches. they're small dots that go behind your ear. I never get sea sick on small boats so when I went I didn't bring anything. Luckily my friend did and had a ton so we shared

- if you want to tan which most people do you have to get up early because the chairs fill up fast. And you also get those jerks who just leave their towel on the chair and don't return for hours.

- Try all the food even if its something you're pretty sure you're not going to like. The worst thing is you don't like it and you get something else.

- Lastly, HAVE FUN! :-)

I have heard about the patches, I will be getting those for sure since little boats can make me not feel so hot. Im a morning person, however my fianc isn't but I love to tan so I'll be out there early! Yes, I hate it when people leave their stuff on chairs and disappear for long times!! I'm usually open to trying most anything once, so I'll give it a shot!! Thanks, I'm really excited!!

Congrats! How exciting! I love cruises....we're going on one for our honeymoon too! We just bought over-the-counter dramamine tablets. Hmm advice...

they will try to herd you into lines for professional photos when you get on the ship and get off the ship, before and after dinner, etc DAILY...don't fall into the trap, you can get around them, it's okay. I guess you always want at least one...but don't waste your time following the rest of the crowd into the lines.

that's true about the seats...and the hot tubs! Depending on the cruise you're going to, sometimes kids stay in them forever...we always went to the hot tubs after 8 or 9pm, past their bedtime :P

If you want to use the Spa, book your appointment before you board the ship, the slots fill up fast.

Yes, I'm going to get something for motion sickness. I refuse to be sick and miserable for 7 days on a boat lol so I will be taking care of that asap!!

I'm all for taking at least one picture on the cruise, but not one for every single dinner or event...good grief I think that's what my wedding pictures are for lol!

I'm not a huge fan of hot tubs, so really it wont break my heart but I cant see going in it during the day but at night could be fun!

I think I'm going to book a spa appt during one of our "at sea fun days", I think a massage will be so wonderful after the wedding is over!!

If you do the patch behind the ear and still feel sick take the off and take the Dramamine pills (usually free from the medical office on the boat). My friend did the switch and it saved our vacation. I guess some people do better with different things. Don't stress too much about what to wear on the formal nights. People will dress in anything from sundresses to formal gowns.
