My brother is walking me down the aisle...

My brother is walking me down the aisle, I have never met my Dad and I am very close with my brother. I even had my FH ask him for permission to marry me. My question is...I know you typically do a Father/Daughter dance, but does anyone have any recommendations for a dance I could do with my brother.

    My brother is walking me down the aisle also. I lost my father on Christmas last year w his birthday the day after Christmas so not having him there will be really hard for me. (He was like my best friend) I never even thought about the whole dance thing. I might just skip it as dont know if I could keep myself together.  But I do think it would be cute for you and your brother to do a dance. I will try and think of a good song.

    Hmm... When I started thinking about songs for my Father/Daughter dance, I started thinking about bands/artists/movies that we both liked.  That's how I ended up leaning towards "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" (Judy Garland version)-- we both love The Wizard of Oz. So, if I were you, I'd start there. Good luck! Let us know when you think of something! :)

    I went to a reception where the bride had a dance with her brother (she also had one with her dad but is very close with bro) She did "Hero" by Mariah Carey.

    So far I really like Wind Beneath My Wings, but my brother said he would be in tears if we did that. LOL. I think I will be in tears no matter what!

    What about "what a wonderful world"? Its not specifically about your brother, but I am guessing you guys made it through some pretty tough stuff together, but on a happy day like a wedding you can sit back and think, man, we made it together. Ain't it just a wonderful world? Maybe kinda corny, but that's how I have always felt about that song. Just kinda a deep breath and yeah...its still a wonderful world.
