i PICKED A THEME FINALLY

So I finally picked an overall feel for the wedding if you will. I really love something like "A moment like this" or "Written in the stars" or something conveys it being pure destiny. I am just not sure how to go about conveying the idea into the wedding.I was thinking maybe the bridesmaids could be in like, navy sparkly dresses, like if anyone remembers on Project Runway one year, a guy did a skate leotard inspired by Starry Starry Night....that's the look I am picturing.And then the cake topper could be a cluster of stars or something...I am so excited! Does anyone have any other ideas that could play on these themes?

Ooooh "starry night" makes me think of prom! You could do an awesome prom theme and serve spiked punch and have the BMs wear really bad dresses from the 80s or 90s and wrist corsages instead of bouquets. YWIA!

Ditto Champagne, but if said balloons could be in the form of an archway, preferably one in which couples could stand underneath and have photos taken would be great!

LOL you guys know what what is funny? I came up with the idea because me and some girlfriends from high school were going through a box of our old high school stuff, and found the picture frames and programs from the proms we went to....and thats where I got the idea!I dont see why it's such a bad idea though, I mean Prom was the BEST time, and I want my wedding to be the BEST time too.

Thanks Ricksang! Those are fabulous ideas! I have them saved to my computer!I was thinking about a balloon arch or one of those white lattice fence things with garland and balloons making an archway over the cake table.

I came up with the idea because me and some girlfriends from high school were going through a box of our old high school stuff, and found the picture frames and programs from the proms we went to....and thats where I got the idea!ZOMG, that's like sooo awesome! You should have you or your FI's older brother buy the booze for you, haha! Make sure they get lots of Peach Schnapps. And you should display all the adorable frames and stuff from your actual prom so it will have EXACTLY the same feel!

You and FI need to buy crowns. then you can be crowned King and Queen at the end of the night. Sooooo romantic and memorable! And you MUST put condoms in the bathroom baskets or give as favors. you dont want to be blamed for all the babies born 9 months after your wedding to the guests losing their virginity on prom night.
