I am 20 years old. The reason prom is freshly in my mind is because some friends came over and we were looking through old high school things, and came across the picture frames and programs and everything with the themes blasted all over them. And, no, I am not completley sure what a troll is....This is the first actual message board I've posted on. Sorry.

High school is supposed to be long, painful, and humiliating. The average human lifespan is something like seventy or eighty years. If the best time of your life happens when you're 18, the next 60 years of your life are going to be miserable. Trust me, all those kids who seem like they're having fun now are going to be pathetic alcoholics in loveless marriages by your first reunion.I was mainly just trying to cheer her up, but I do firmly believe that. Fair enough, Meaghan. Perhaps I'm just bitter, I certainly know plenty of people who are. However, I think the "wouldn't go back" thing you mention is key. I don't think any sane person wishes they were back in high school.
