DJ Help!!!!

So I called the DJ that I really wanted but he is booked for my August 28, 2010 wedding and has been booked since February.  I really liked him because he got involved and got the whole crowd involved.  Do you know a DJ that gets involved (meaning gets out on the dance floor and dances with everyone)???

JD Hughes! He has all sorts of different ideas. I am super excited! He is a little pricey but I think it is worth it. When all is said and done... all that matters in your wedding is if you had fun and your guests had fun, not what shade of pink the napkins are. Let me know if you want more of his info.

I hired Hi-Vox for my wedding back in May.  He was a great guy.  He got on the dance floor and taught dances and made my wedding lively which was hard since the majority of the guests were older folks.  He was also willing to play unusual music since I am a huge fan of foreign music.  He will do anything you want for your wedding and he has the best personality.  I loved him!  And he is about 1k cheaper than the average DJ.

Wildflower: Just curious how much Hi-Vox charges if they are 1k cheaper than an average dj?  In my research for a wedding dj's I have found about $800 to be an average price for the most reputable dj companies around.

I HIGHGLY rec. Hey Mr DJ. They are a little pricey but you get two guys (emcee and DJ), and they are suggested by a lot of the super nice reception locations around here like Ivy Hills, Royal Oak, Drees, etc. We had our first meeting with Zach and he was awesome. They seem to be really good at making each reception unique to the couple! GL!

I am using Jim from Elite Entertainment and he can get really involved, as much as you want. He will even get out on the dance floor and teach everyone how to do the cupid shuffle (or whatever you want!) He is $795 for 5 hours and he has been at my beck and call with no delay. He used to work for DJ Butlers but went out on his own.

DJ toad. My favorite. Young & very good. Unplanned, he threw out glow sticks at our wedding! Turns out my girlfriend's new husband knows how to dance with them and it was a RIOT. Also did our slideshow and threw in a flat screen TV for free. VERY VERY GOOD!

Anyone know if "The Scene" is a decent DJ service? They seem like the least expensive, but sometimes that means you are exchanging quality, so I'd appreciate any info! Thanks!
