Has anyone gotten their teeth whitened for their wedding?1.  Did your regular dentist do it or do you have a recommendation of a place to go?2.  How much did it cost?3.  How long before the wedding should it be done?4.  What does the process involve?Thanks for the info!!!!

    I've never paid a dentist to do it.  I always buy the Crest whitening strips.  Honestly, if you just do one strip every now and then, it keeps them looking white.  But there are instructions on the box.  You can pay a little more for the 7-day treatment or just get the 14 day or 30 day box.  I find they work well.

    I never cared for the strips much so I bit the bullet and asked the dentist. I asked about the type where they use the light, and while it would be a quicker one time deal, he recommended the trays...they take impressions and you get a flexible mold that fits right on your teeth. You use this little prefilled syringe of bleach goo and put the trays in for about an hour. In less than 3 weeks I could tell a big difference (I did them about 4-5 times per week). Once I get them where I want them, I can leave it alone and maybe buy a tube here and there to re brighten. $199 including trays and tubes of goo. (In other words it's a long term solution, too.)  The best part? I can wear the trays out on errands and no one can even tell I have them in!

    I have done the strips and this time I did the whitening gel from my dentist. Be careful no matter what you do because it does make your teeth more sensitive. (atleast it did mine)The strips work, I already had the trays from previous dental work so I used the dentist provided gel. The gel works faster, but is a lot more in cost. If you dont have anything established, I would try the strips and see how they work. You can always try the other later. Look online and in the paper for coupons, they will save you 5-10 bucks.

    I did the Crest strips. I was a little lazy and didn't use them much (plus I didn't want to have super white teeth and FI's look really bad) but I've used them in the past and they always work great.

    I have done both the strips and the kind from the dentist. Honestly, unless you have some major stainage, I would just go with the strips. My dentist had a 1/2 off sale (normally $300) so I got them for $150 including the mold. It took a couple of weeks. My problem is I don't have the patience to put them on or in religiously and my teeth are a little sensitive. The thing I hated about the dentist one is getting the mold made. It hurt and it made me gag. Plus I had to wait like 3 weeks for the mold to come in.

    Hey girl,I have had bleach trays (like the mold kind) since I was 14 when I got my braces off.  I have used them probably less than 20 times in those 8 years. However, they do work! I've tried lots of different types of bleach and make sure if you go thsi route, you get the kind with hydrogen peroxide, not carbamide peroxide.  I just think the hydrogen peroxide works better than the carbamide! Also, if you just want a quick fix, I would wait for your dentist to have a sale and just have them zoomed before the wedding.  Maybe its just because I'm impatient, but I would rather shell out a bit more money for instant results.  I've also tried the 5 minute crest white strips and I think they work fine, my only issue with them is that they don't get your back teeth and for some people with big smiles, that can be an issue. They also don't penetrate in between teeth like a bleach tray can. I guess the point of all my rambling is bleach trays are great, but take a bit longer! : ) Good luck with those pearly whites!

    My teeth's natural color is VERY white anyways, so I do what Mrs. Shawty does, I use one or two strips every once in a while and that works just fine for me.

    I had tried this brush on Gels, I didn’t find it worth, the gel gets taken off by saliva. Would take a really long time to see results with this.
