Very Disappointed In A Local Bridal Store That Everyone Knows

So today I made an appt at a certain bridal store that shall remain nameless at this time. One of my bridesmaids and I went there and I told the girl working with us what my budget was and she took me to a large rack and told me to look through there, she did not ask me what style I wanted or anything to that effect. I started looking through the rack and every single dress was two times my budget. I explained to her that I wanted something simple and she said that more simple a dress is the more it costs. That does not make sense to me, but whatever. So then she tells me to go back to where the bridesmaid dresses are and I should be able to find something there. I go back there where she pawned me off on another girl and that girl was no better, she just told me to look and let her know what I like and should would see if they could get it in white. I was so upset. I looked at one or two dresses and we were out of there. As we walked past the front and the girl that waited on me in the beginning nobody said anything as we left. I was about to cry I was so upset! But there is a good ending! My friend and I walked across the street and I think I may have found the one! I tried on two different dresses and the last one I tried on was so gorgeous. I am going back there this weekend to show my mom!

I was treated the exact same way at a "similar" bridal store that I will not name-- once they knew I wasn't dropping $800 on a dress, they wanted nothing to do with me. One more reason I'll never recommend anyone to them.  Glad you found a dress you're excited about showing your mom! Let us know how that goes! :)

I was in shock and wrote a very long email to the manager of the store. I was willing to spend about $500-$600 but I guess that was not enough lol. And I needed 5 bridesmaid dresses, they really missed out!

I want to plug for Davids Bridal in Kenwood-- ask for Kathy-- they didn't bat an eye when I told them I wanted to stay around $500, and she juggled myself, my mother, 5 bridesmaids and 2 junior bridesmaids all in the same afternoon.  Great experience with them!

The DB in Florence was magnificent as well! The girl was working with me (I had FMIL and 5 BM with me) and another bridal party (of a/b 4 or 5), and I never knew she was helping anyone besides me!

I 2nd David's Bridal in Kenwood. I had a horrible time at the Tri-County location on two different occasions shopping for my wedding dress. We went to the Kenwood location for bridesmaids dresses and it was a VERY pleasant experience!Hope this helps!

I went to Bridal and Formal, Inc. in Reading. I got the most gorgeous dress and they were not upset at all when I said I wanted to spend between 500.00 and 600.00. They made sure that even with the higher priced dresses, they would end up costing in my price range after discounts! They were so nice and worked with me. I found the most amazing dress and have visited it a couple of times since and they are still as helpful as ever! By the way, my sister got married last year and got her dress here as well!!! I went other places but got the best service here! I hope this helps....I can't wait until June!!!

I had the oppostie experience at Bridal and Formal.  I will not go into a ton of details, but I received much better service at all of the other stores I shopped.  European Bridal & Fabulous Bridal both were AWESOME experiences.  My buidget was on the lower end of gowns and noone gave me grief about it.  Good luck to you!

Bridal and Formal is the store I was referring to in my initial post. They treated me horribly, but lucky for me, I went right across the street and found a gorgeous dress at Cincinnati Bride
