Ohio-Cincinnati

Intro (Warning: Very long!)

Hello ladies,I'm a new member to this board and I want to make a formal intro and hope to get to know you well!My FI and I were engaged on August 13, 2009. We were on a family trip to Europe. He proposed in front of St. Therese statue in Notre Dame de Paris. St. Therese is my patron saint.FI and I met in Summer 2006. The setting was Pittsburgh. I was on co-op as a visitor and he was there as a local. We were browsing Facebook and noticed on our profiles that we had the same heritage, same faith, same major, similar interests, then started talking through Facebook. We weren't looking for a relationship but we were just surprised at how much we had in common! After three Facebook exchanges over the course of one weekend, we decided to meet at Starbucks and talk over coffee. We quickly went from acquaintances to friends to dating. In Fall 2006, my co-op stint ended and I moved back to Cincinnati, and FI quit his job and followed me in Winter 2006. It was history from there. To give you an idea of how much he loves me, the timeline from when we met as strangers to when he left everything and moved to my home turf was only five months.I currently work as an aerospace engineer in the business of jet-engine making.  FI lives not far and disliked his job and its instability as an electrical engineer. He applied and has been accepted to medical school. We are having a long engagement so that I can save enough money for the the unexpected and the rough roads ahead. Our relationship is built on sacrifices.  We are Vietnamese-Americans and our tea ceremony is set for sometime in August 2010.  In the tea ceremony, I'll pour tea for my elders, and we'll party as two families together for the first time.  We are also Catholic and our wedding date is set for July 23, 2011. At the wedding, we are planning a Nuptial Mass wedding and a buffet dinner reception.I think my colors will be cobalt blue and the accents pink, orange, and yellow. And I also think the theme will be elegant, classic, and vintage. But with this much time left in the planning everything is flexible.  I will try to get my planning bio suitable enough for viewing and post it in my signature soon!
