color of candy for candy bar

I was just curious what your thoughts are on the candy in a candy bar matching the colors of your wedding? My colors are pink, lime green and orange. I thought it would be neat to have all the candy be those colors BUT I also think it could get more expensive being that picky! Any thoughts? Thanks!

Re: color of candy for candy bar

  • Not only would it be more expensive than it already is but you limit your choices. While monochromatic candy buffets look great in magazines, most guests would much rather have candy that tastes good regardless of the color and don't care if it doesn't match. That's a detail that only a bride would care about.
  • www.candyfavorites.com has a section on their website where it lists the candy they sell by color.
  • Lime green jelly candy, oooh, I love the idea. If you buy in bulk I don't think it would be too expensive.
  • My fiance and I are doing the candy bar/buffet idea too, but we're doing a whimsical, colorful theme, so we're not worried too much about using just a few colors. What we plan to do though, is buy bags of assorted-colored candies (M&Ms, Gummie Bears, etc), then make an evening out of it and sit down and separate them by color. You could always separate out the colors by yourself to save money, just be prepared to have extra candies!
