Poo-Pourri

I've been working at the same office for 4 months now, and we've always had this little spritz bottle of this product call Poo-Pourri in the bathroom, which I always figured was an air freshener of some sort, and I'd never looked at it. Well, today, I decided to actually read it. As it turns out, Poo-Pourri is a product you spray into the toilet before you take a crap to mask the odour. There's a little rhyme on the back of the bottle about it. Oh...wow... Well, that's my excitement for the day. It's amazing what a person can find at the office. Anything exciting or strange happen to you at work today?

hahahahahahahahahaha. "poo-pourri" hahahahaha!Ya, I'm mature. I laugh at the word "poo", especially when paired with the word "pourri"

I know, I laughed too, which is why I thought I'd share. I'd go get the bottle so I could write out the lovely rhyme for you ladies, but I think it might be weird to walk out of the bathroom with it and carry it to my desk.

My last office had a high tech air freshener that would shoot out scents every few minutes or so.  It was nice.  Nothing too exciting happened today.  Left work early to get new contact lenses.  Just got home and my eyes are still dilated and I look like a freak.  My laptop is glowing.  At least I can see.  AND I was talked into getting a "free" pair of sunglasses so that's cool.  $200 later...

Oooh, I hate 'free', that isn't free. But I'm glad the contacts and all are working out. I think I've seen those automatic air fresheners advertised on TV. Although the one at your office was probably something more of the commercial variety.

Yeah the sunglasses themselves were almost free.  As was the eye exam.  But after I paid $$$ for what the insurance didn't cover for the contacts plus my OOP costs of glasses I will never actually wear it ended up being a budget buster.  Oh well, now I can see again.

Being able to see is definitely good. Even if it does have to cost $200. Hmm...speaking of sight...I think I should have an appointment coming up. Probably a good thing, my right eye is effectively eff'd I would say. I can still see great out of the left eye though!

Yeah I kept putting it off until I was wearing my very last pair of contacts for way too long.  It wasn't bad.  Now if I could only schedule my dentist, dermatologist and lady biz appts then I'd be all set.

I went on a little spree at the beginning of July and got dentist and doctor out of the way in the same week. Not a fun week, to say the least, but ah well. I'm going back to school next week, so I likely won't get any more appointments in, until...well, between exams and Christmas! I put it all off as long as humanly possible, cause really, who actually enjoys those visits to health care professionals.

When I got dental coverage for the first time in many years I was at the dentist like every week (six cavities, yikes!) but now I'm convinced they just make up excuses for me to come in.

I feel like the dentist does that to me too. (I'm covered through school.) I get a cleaning every 6 months, x-rays and a full check up annually, and I usually need some other work done after the check up. I HATE the dentist so incredibly much.

haha...i love how this post turned from poo-pourri to dental coverage. random, but funny!back to the poo-pourri note, i bought some for my BF as a joke...and turns out it really does work! but it was kind of weird when he called me in the bathroom to have a smell after he did his business.

Haha ya, BF seemed to think it sounded like a good idea too. It would be something I'd put in his Christmas stocking as a joke, I think. Where did you buy it though? I've never seen it in a store.

I've seen it online and in some business catalogs. lol When I first heard about it, I was like 'Whaaat?'...but if it actually works, I might buy it for my housemate. He LOOOOOOVES to use the bathroom on the first floor to do his business and it's right in the kitchen. Totally awesome. Not.*sigh* Can't wait until the BF and I move in together next summer... lol
