M. Martin Jewelers

Hi all, I posted on here a few days ago about jeweler's row recommendations. Someone had recommended M. Martin and I was looking at their website and it said that when designing a ring, you get to approve a computer model and then it is made it to wax, and then it is made in metal. I am just wondering if all of this is true. Thanks!

I didn't go to M. Martin, but we went to a jeweler in Minneapolis and that is what they did. It is pretty standard practice to make a wax model of the ring before making a metal one.

I'm the one who mentioned him.  My ring was made by them but the setting itself was picked out from their selection of settings they already had designed/made so it wasn't "customized" or "design your own." But I'm pretty sure those steps are the standard for customized jewelry.  He did tell us that was the process (computer, wax mold) if we decided to design anything ourselves rather than pick a setting they offered.  Steve is great, very detail oriented and honest.
