    OMG, now I'm crying again but only because I am so touched you guys would help me out in any way possible even with a knottie G2G. You guys are the absolute BEST people ever! I'm going to be a wreck on my wedding day (so emotional). Lol. My FI just called me to say that even he got so nervous and upset with this man that he got stomach cramps! Poor thing!     Wow, I am infuriated reading your post. What a HORRIBLE individual and a bastard to boot (I can use that word here, right?)! Since when can business owners, even if they are going out of business, keep anybody's money? If he any ethical sense (which he doesn't), he would have refunded everyone who had a dress order with that shop, including you. It would have been the right thing to do, but he decided to be an a$$ instead.  I am very suprised that you didn't punch him in the face or worse...I agree with the other girls on calling the consumer agencies, county, local and city agencies about this. He harrassed you, he embarrased you, he humiliated you and he kept your money, which is worse because you 'paid' for the abuse from him.I hope that making enough noise about this will enable some sort of resolution to your situation and force him to rightly comply with provided a refund IN FULL. I don't know what else to say, but to hang in there, vent to us girls here while fighting for what you are rightfully entitled too.

    u can also call them everyday and ask for a refund and keep calling Help me Howard until they answer

    does help me howard have an email? if he does what we can do is: Kristy write out what happen and then post the letter with Help me Howard's email here in the post and have everyone end it to the Help me Howard guy. the more emails he gets the more attention it will get. what u girls think??

 BROWARD: 954-761-WSVN Dear Help me Howard, I am a South Florida bride getting married next year. Today, I went through a 3-hour ordeal with Sue Gordon Bridal Salon in Ft. Lauderdale. 

 Back in May of this year, I feel in love with a specific wedding dress and Sue Gordon Bridal gave the best price for the dress. Pam (the lady who helped me) was extremely nice and great to work with. The deposit ended up being $1,000 dollars (a bit less than half of the total cost since that was all the savings I had at the time). I gave them a deposit and like any bride I wanted to lose some weight before I ordered the dress so I asked them to please hold off a few months before actually ordering. Then, I found out that Sue Gordon is closing and going out of business. According to the owner’s son – they will be selling off the business within a few weeks. I quickly decided to leave work (in Kendall) and drive the hour long drive to Ft. Lauderdale only to find that yes, Sue Gordon's son took charge of the business and is selling it as soon as possible and then going out of business for sure. 

 I asked for my deposit back then because they will not be able to order me the dress and receive it before they went out of business. The dress takes 4 months to come back from the designer and they are going out of business in a matter of weeks. After an hour of battling, he still would not refund me my money. I told him that I understood there was a no refund policy if I were to cancel the order but THEY we canceling the order by going out of business NOT ME. I finally was able to compromise on buying SOMETHING in the store and he would refund me the rest. When I picked out a flower girl dress for the sake of taking something which was $300 he REFUSED to give me the rest as a refund as he had promised. He said I would have to come back at the end of the year. He insulted my intelligence by even thinking I would wait until then after he was already going to close up shop in a few weeks. I called my Fiancee in tears because I was losing my money and he spoke to him on the phone and still no budge. I hadn't signed the sales slip for the flower girl dress. Then he wanted to FORCE me to sign the sales slip. He took the pen and put it in my hand and was FORCING me to scribble my signature. I got so upset and red that I started to cry hysterically out of pure frustration. I did not know what else to do. 

 At that moment, another bride walked in to check out the dresses and sees me crying and he finally said he would give me only HALF of my deposit and the flower girl dress if I just leave and if I promised to not tell the girl that walked in what had happened to me. I took the refund and as I was walking out of the store told the girl to leave while she was ahead and go elsewhere since the son of the owner was a CROOK and a THIEF. 

 Please help me recuperate my money. I do not want store credit or this flower girl dress or any merchandise. I simply want the rest of my refund that is rightfully owed to me. Sue Gordon Bridal Salon is a THIEF!!!! Thank you for your time.

    OH my gosh I am so sorry that this happened to you!!! I seriously wish I was in town so I could join the G2G to force him to pay you back!! If you need support getting Help Me Howard to help, you have my support as well!!!

    Wow this is horrible!  What a D-Bag!  I am sooo mad from just reading what happened, I can imagine how you must feel.  Hang in there though, Im positive that you will get the rest of your deposit back.  Just be strong and dont take any of this guy's crapola!  :o)

    WHAT.I think all has been said and you have a gameplan going on, so I will definitely pray for this! Injustice is disgusting, and in this case, no matter how desperate he is, he should not have put a FINGER ON YOU.March up there with family, Knotties and a news reporter and get your money back.... And keep us posted on this. I truly wish I could make it down there :\

    Oh Kristy! I'm so sorry this happened to you...that's so crazy...it's not like you were just canceling your order they're going out of business! I hope you get your money back...you don't deserve this and neither does anyone else! Btw: Help me howard actually helped a friend of mine last year with a wedding situation...I hope that he can help you!

    Yeah, make sure when you go back on Saturday you have a news crew with you. I had a rat infestation at my dorm at FAU and nothing was done until myseriously News Ch 12 came barging in haha. It helps! Nobody wants bad publicity. Good luck and keep us updated!

    Holy Shyt.. I can't believe you went through that. You poor thing. What a PoS this guy is to do this to you. To try and force you to sign something? Then give you money if you promise not to tell this other girl that he's about to rip her off? So basically he's gonna take other unsuspecting brides "deposits" and then close shop and run w/ the money. This DEFINITELY needs to go to the media and I agree with everyone else that you need to go back there and threaten to call the police and let him know you will not stop until you have money in your hand. I don't get why they would make you give them a deposit for something they didn't order to begin with but either way, they have NO right to that money!

    Kristy,I am so sorry you had to go through this. I know you probably do not want to have to deal with this...but you can take this to court for the rest of your refund plus more...It's just NOT right!

    kristy:so sorry to hear what happened. I am a little late in giving advice. But definatly Help me howrd came to my mind. ALso Better business burea. Get the other 50% back. I would go back on a busy day and stand in front of his stores and warn everyone that steps foot in his store or try contacting his mother. Most likely she doesn't know how he is handling the store.GL and keep us posted..

    wow, this is insane.  I am so sorry you had to go through that.  I cant believe he tried to physically force you to sign a sales slip!  I would've called the police!

    I just thought of something.  Why dont you call Help me Howard?  I'm serious! go over there with camera crews and get in his face.  This guy is crook and needs to be exposed!
