C&R Venue for very small party?

I live in DE but we are getting married in Phoenix. The event will be small. Prob <50 people. I would love to find a beautiful venue that really captures the unique beauty of AZ. ie. I don't want it indoors at a restaurant or on a golf course. Especially as Phoenix will be some very welcomed warm weather for my family and I during the cold months here. I have found a few places like Aldea and Sanctuary but they are a tad on the pricey side. Other place are alright but too large a venue for what I need. I would love any suggestions you have.

You should check out the Desert Botanical Garden, I think it is one of the most beautiful, natural AZ areas. They have a few really beautiful outdoor locations that really showcase Arizona.

Just got done looking at their site. It looks so beautiful. I wish they had bigger/better pictures but I do love it. Thank you!

I was going to suggest the Desert Botanical Garden. Right next to it is the Phoenix Zoo, and they do weddings, too.

If you're open to going up to Sedona, most of the venues up there are for smaller parties and it's beautiful! Check out the Tlaquepaque Village, and if you're interested talk to Jill, she is AWESOME. Good luck =)

I got married at Virginia's House, which is a beautiful antique house in historic Downtown Glendale, and it is perfect for small weddings.  They accommodate weddings for up to 120.  We had 100.  The prices and what is included in the packages are incredible, too.

We're using the AZ Historical Museum in Tempe at Papago Park. It's gorgeous. Talk to Seth. NOT all inclusive, it's just a venue

I am in love with Tlaquepaque Village. It reminds me a lot of Aldea. Thank you so much ladies.

I am getting married at the Dessert Botanical Gardens. The Wildflower Pavillion would be perfect for that size. The place is  beautiful, and very close to downtown Scottsdale.  Just a warning, it is a botanical garden so it beautiful, but still a dessert, and the paths are gravel. Let us just say it is not a 5 foot long train situation. :)

A friend of my daughter's is using the Botanical Gardens and she's having some issue with the bar. If you're going to have alcohol, make sure you ask specifically about it. Sorry, can't remember the exact issue. Think it's by the drink so they won't know how much it is until after the reception, and they can't use an outside vendor.

In regards to the bar at the Desert Botanical Garden, I believe they do the bar based on consupmtion, and do not offer a package per person deal. They have a liquor license so you can not bring in outside liquor, just like you would not be able to bring your own alcohol to a hotel. A good coordinator should be able to estimate what you will spend on an open bar. As a rule of thumb, guests drink 1.5 drinks per hour. Some drink more, some drink less, but it all averages out. When I lived in Phoenix I worked as a Catering Sales Manager, and when I would put together these estimates I was usually within a hundred dollars. I actuall worked at the DBG when I was first out of college (many years ago), which is why I know their liquor rules (I do not just go around memorizing venues liquor regulations :-) So if you have 50 people and the average drink is $5 and you have an open bar for 5 hours, then you could expect to spend approx. $1,875 on a consumption bar (1.5 drinks x 5 hours x $5 x 50 people).

Not sure when your wedding is, but Tlaquepaque in Sedona just got completely flooded.  I know you're not talking right away, but just to think of in the future.  They have a lot of damage right now.
