Favor Question! Cant decide..

Hi girls,

I just cannot make up my mind about what I want to do for favors and how much I want to spend on something I'm not sure most guests will like. So...

What is your favor?
When/where are you purchasing them (esp. if edible!)?
How much are you spending on them (roughly per person)?

We aren;t doing favors so I am no help!!!! I love it when favors are edible.... then most people actually eat them/take them.

We making recipe card boxes. I'm collecting old family recipes (probably about 15) and putting them together in a box for our guests to take home. This way they'll have a useful piece of our wedding to always look back on!

The best part is they're going to cost us only $1/each!

We were given the option of doing a dessert or a candy bar and we picked the candy bar so we could use it as our favor. We just need to purchase the bags!

I orginally was going to skip doing them, but I ordered paper fans from TK. I waited until they were on sale and had free personalization. I also had a 20% off coupon code. I ordered 120 fans and ended up spending $1.26 per fan with shipping. Since my ceremony is outside and it will be hot I figured they would be perfect for my guests to have and they double as the favors.

we decided to do something edible, just because I know at weddings people normallly forget to grab the favors, or are left in hotel rooms etc. We're going to do cake pops, and have them wrapped in cellophane with just a brief thank you note or something - were going to have them in 3 or 4 different flavors and flip the escort card table after everyone goes to their seats, so people can grab them on their way out of the reception.

Either we're not doing them, donating money to charity, or doing something edible. Sorry I'm not much help. I just feel like they usually get left/forgotten, especially if they're not edible.

We are doing little boxes with two gourmet chaclates in them. Our bakery is also a gourmet choclate shop. She will take care of them completely and drop them off when she drops off our cake. She knows our venue and said they she can have them set them at each persons place setting.

It is about $3/pp

We are doing a candy buffet. Instead of bags we purchased small jars to put the candy in. The jars are also doubling as our placecards.

We are doing truffles. We are buying everything and making them ourselves. I'm not sure on the exact $/pp but it will be around or under $1 with the ingredients and boxes. Everyone will get 2 truffles per box.

Edible is the best way to go, I think. We are skipping them as a way to cut a corner for our budget. But we plan to have nuts and candies in bowls on the table, which eliminates the need for a favor.

I am doing something edible, and since we are having cupcakes instead of a wedding cake, I think I might just order extras and put them in boxes as the favors.

Not really sure yet. If I dont make up my mind we most likely wont do them. Kind of debating edible pretzals covered with chocolate or recipes since I love to cook!

I really want to do cake pops, but might go with chocolate-covered pretzels. It will depend on time and how trial runs go. Overall though, we're definitely doing something edible.

We're doing Godiva favors. We're purchasing them probably around easter. I heard chocolate lasts 4 months, and want to hit a sale price/free shipping or something.

I love to bake so we're doing mini pies in a short 1/2 pint jar. We bought apples at a local orchard in the fall, then cut and froze them to use as filling. We'll bake them all a few days before the wedding.

Personally, we're not doing favors, unless people feel like taking home some of the million cookies we are going to be baking.

Thanks for all the responses! Edible it is. I love the cake pop idea with a little thank you note, they are so adorable. And Im really jealous that I dont know someone at a microbrewery..I think that's the coolest idea!
