Tipping Louise?

Have you, or will you, tip Louise for her alterations work? I read in another thread that most do NOT tip their seamstress, but it almost feels wrong not to! I know I definitely can if I want to, but I wanted to know if it's been something others have been doing. Thanks!

I guess I wasn't planning on tipping her at all.

I just had my wedding last weekend. Louise did work on my dress, my mom's dress, two bridesmaids and two of my dresses for other wedding related events during that weekend. My total was $163, it felt wrong not to tip her. She seemed grateful and not to mention she does AMAZING work and deserved it!

I have never tipped a seamstress but if Louise gives me a good price and does a great job then I will probably tip her.

You don't really need to tip her, but she always does an awesome job, and is pretty inexpensive, so it's up to you! But she is not expecting you to i dont' think.

I always heard if it's the person's own business (photography, florist, etc.) and they receive all the profits, then a tip is not necessary.  If they work for a company, then it is strongly suggested.
