Brides in Negril Jamaica??

Hey Ladies!  I am getting married in Negril Jamaica, at the Sandals Resort in Feb 2010...I was wondering if anyone else has planned a wedding there or has had one in Jamaica; any tips, suggestions for video/photo, etc.???  I;m nervous about what to expect when I get there as far as music, decor etc. since I can't see anything till that week!  Obviously its the chance you take when having a Destination wed.!

  • I got married at the Sandals Dunns River. You have to use their photographer and videograher, you don't have a choice. I will say that they are pro's at this, and I felt completely at ease with them. Once you get there, upon checkin, you are given the wedding planning book for the resort and a note with an appointment time for the wedding coordinator. They are great. We didn't do a formal reception, we all had dinner together in the white glove restaraunt instead, it was coordinated that day! The staff was amazing and they opened the restaraunt 30 minutes early for us to have our own time in there :) the reception that you get with it is really casual but was perfect. Don't stress :) they are pro's! Everyone had a great time and loved the relaxed tone of the wedding ;)

  • Thanks for all the great info on Sandals ladies. I'm getting married in Jamacia in May 2010. I've been torn between Dunns River and Ocho Rios. I'm glad to hear that people have positive experiences at both
  • Aw, thanks for thinking of me =) We got married at Sandals Negril in April and were so happy with our choice. I have tons of info and pics in my planning and married bio. Please feel free to ask any questions and happy planning =)
