I went to the girly doctor today because they had to REDO my pap smear bc the first one wasn't viable :-| Then I had to get blood drawn and it hurt a lot worse than any of the ones before and it STILL stings. I really don't like that particular nurse drawing blood. I hope she is gone by the time I get pregnant but it's unlikely as she's new :( I had to make the *really* tough call to take a break from dance to try and let my body heal some more. It is SO hard emotionally to sit in rehearsals and watch everyone else dancing what you could have been doing as well if your body had decided to not hate you instead of hating you with a passion(hmph!). I am going to be a lot more bitchy because of this and I am NOT looking forward to the emotional crap and drama this will inflict on me.

I loathe Taylor Swift and even I thought Kanye's behavior was super tacky.  But, I'm also tired of reading/hearing/seeing stuff about it. I have no B&M, really, except that I'm SICK OF THE RAIN.

Well I have a doozy.  At least to me.I went for my floral mockup at my venue on Friday.  My florist wanted to see the ceremony space.  It is an outdoor terrace that is normally covered only in the winter.  When I booked the Melrose in January of this year, I was assured the cover would be left off for my 11/7 wedding, as that is the weekend it is normally put back on, but they would just wait the one week or so after my wedding.  We talked about this on numerous occasions and I always repeated how I hated the ugly cover.  My future inlaws discussed it at their walk through as well.Well on Friday my WC states for the FIRST time that they made a change over this summer and the cover is now left on year-round.  Um, HELLO, that was NOT the policy in January and this is the first I have heard of it.  The worst thing was her attitude--she acted like I was crazy and knew it all along, even though she later conceded in writing that they made the change this summer and no one told us.  The issue is still ongoing but let's just say we're all very unhappy.

ugh Stephie I'm sorry to hear that.  What a strange decision by the Melrose!  I visited the venue and thought the same thing about the cover, that they should only use it when they have to due to weather reasons, it covers up the marvelous architecture of the historic building!

Did anybody see what Little Mamma did when Jay Z was performing? That was not right! And Russell Brand...your not funny and I laugh when I see your tight pants. Especially since they are alot tighter than I wear them. Moving on...why did I bother and straighten my hair when this rainy weather has made it look frizzy and curly at the same time! And when I get...Did you do something different to your hair? NO! But the rain did!I haven't been able to get on the knot much and it sucks. I hate when I see old high school friends and they tell me...we should hang out sometime! I just think...WE NEVER TALKED IN HIGH SCHOOL!!!!!!

Seriously, when did people start thinking that I have no idea what I'm doing in regards to sponsoring a group?  I know what I'm doing and I'm not incompetent at my job.  Leave me alone and let me do my job.  I'm tired of the rain, too, Mandy.  I need this low pressure to go away so my face and head will stop hurting.

One of DH's cats ate my flowers then threw up a hairball on the receipt I needed to return two pairs of pants to the store. They make me so mad!

this is gonna sound terrible. I already know it is.When I am really, really upset about something, or going through something not good in my life, I really wish my mom and close friends would back off.  I am grateful that they care I swear!  But once they call and I don't answer (because I hate to talk on the phone ever, let alone when I am upset)  and I text them back and let them know that I am ok but don't want to talk right now.  I really wish they would leave it at that.I had a horrible weekend and to top it off I had 4 people constantly calling and leaving me messages to call them.I text you and let you know I would call when I felt up to it, please leave me alone!!!!

Lovey, I am the same way. I tell my friends that when I can control myself I'll give them a call and let them know what's going on. But until then, I appreciate their texts but just can't deal with it at the moment.

I know everyone is sick of hearing about Kanye but I thought he was "okay" before that.  What he did was unprofessional and wrong. But I do give kudos to Beyonce for giving her time for speech to Taylor. That was a very noble thing to do and something that makes her a bigger person for doing it. I hope Kanye feels like a dork for railing on Beyonce not winning for that when she won for Video of the Year.

I know this is terrible, but I think that Beyonce's "people" told her she needed to do that.  She looked honored/happy when he did it. JMO

I thought Kanye was leaving the music business (due to lack of awards) for the fashion industry?  That was horribly rude, which he usually seems to be.  Kudos to Beyonce for giving the time slot to Taylor.

For some reason waking up on weekdays is getting to be harder than it has in the past.  I'm not sure if I feel like I want/need more sleep or if I just don't want to go to work.  Maybe it's because fall is approaching and the sun isn't up when I leave for work (it used to be up shortly after I would wake up).  Maybe today it's just the rain - but I've enjoyed the rain over the weekend since it felt like a good excuse to eat comfort food and baked goods.

She looked honored/happy when he did it.I told DH the same thing. Other people were saying she looked humiliated, but she still had a smile on her face.

My students asked me if I watched the VMA's and I said that i haven't watched MTV since they pretty much stopped showing videos.  Yeah, they might show them for an hour in the middle of the night but I'm not going to get up to watch videos at 3 AM.  MTV is just not that cool anymore.  IMO.
  • edited December 2011
Same here Julie, but I do watch the VMA's.   I can't remember who it was that was on stage and said something about MTV needs to play more music videos. (or maybe he said to keep playing them.. something along those lines anyways)

I really hope and pray that it doesn't rain on Saturday! I will just assume that it is lucky for us if it does but I would prefer no rain! Also, to the stupid limo driver that ruined my bachelorette night after the festivities, I will be posting your info so that none of the lovely brides on here have to endure what what we went through!! UGH!

I think she was shocked and you know how some people smile when they get nervous? That's the vibe I got from her...her eyes were like omg did he just say that? I think she didn't know how to react and usually when a situation that arises like that, you smile and are thinking wtf? Like if someone thinks they are giving you a compliment but it's really not...I know sometimes I just keep smiling even though I'm cringing on the inside. And I know I have heard rumblings of Beyonce's people telling her to do that, but she still could have said no I would think.

My registry still says "No items have been purchased from your registry," and it's bumming me out a little bit. This rain sucks, it took me forever to get to work this morning! My RSVP deadline is tomorrow and I still have more than 50 unknowns. My mailbox better be full of RSVP cards when I get home today.
