Wedding cake prices in Orlando?

So how much should we budget for a wedding cake for 100 people?  They charge per person or per slice, right?

Also looking for recommendations for bakers with reasonable prices (besides Publix).

Thanks for your help!!

I haven't started to look yet but my caterer said the cheapest i'd be able to find would be 3.50 per slice.

Kevan is right, $3-3.50 would be the bare minimum from what I've found. Also, don't forget to budget for delivery and/or setup fees. I seem to remember $50 for delivery from someone.

I also met with Karen at Cupcake Crazy but we ended up going with Michael Anthony Cakes.  I really liked his ideas and his cakes were amazing!  I can't remember exactly how much it was per slice because we are also renting the cake stand from him as well.

Mine is included in the catering budget. The baker is Jennyfer with The Sugar Suite. She's amazing. I'm getting a 4 tiered monster (150 people) for $500, which includes transportation, set-up and cutting.  Sketches are in my bio.

I got a three tier for 100 ppl from Anna Cakes for $431.35, however e got a discount bc we paid the entire amt in full. We are doing no decor on the cake (except for ribbon and flowers which I and Florist will provide). And every layer had different flavors. (That's about $4.30 a slice). However, our guest list keeps rising, so we may need to add another fourth tier.

FI and I *just* this weekend finished doing our cake tastings.  For 100 servings, Party Flavors and Cut the Cake were about $650 including delivery for buttercream and fondant (respectively), and about $50 worth of gumpaste flowers.  It's Tasty Too (who we're going with) was about $420 for 100 servings with a bit additional for the gumpaste flowers thrown in the mix.  In our opinion, Cut the Cake had yummy cakes but weren't really wowing us with their designs, Party Flavors had stunning cakes but we found their cake dry and flavorless (they also had an altercation with a family that had a birthday cake that got destroyed in the car, and they weren't really nice about it, especially after the family left).  We were both really impressed by the variety of flavors that Tasty Too had and the cakes were yummy, and the design Heather did was spot-on even though I had no idea what I wanted.  I love it when the vendor I like the best is the most cost-effective :-)

We went to Sprinkles in Winter Park yesterday, their prices started at $5.50 per serving for a buttercream iced cake and $6.75 per serving for a fondant iced cake.  Apparently they only use a Royal Fondant so that's why it's so expensive.  (We didn't book with them btw...)

If you are trying to stick to your budget and don't want to go overboard with the wedding cake, all of these cake shops are able to provide a kitchen cake option. I'm not sure how many tiers you need or are willing to get.  However, since they do the cutting in the back anyway, they can also provide a sheet cake (same quallity and taste) to feed the remainder of guests. No one will ever know unless you tell them, and it's a great way to save $$. We are probably inviting close to 250, so I might be considering this option. Good Luck. Oh BTW, you might want to check out party flavors. I saw them at a bridal show. They were my personal favorite.
