::sigh:: Bustle again...?

Hey girls, I asked a while ago for recos for someone to do a bustle. I emailed one of the suggestions you gave me but they never emailed back. (its been like, 2 months lol). I was going to go to the place  next to B&F and ive seen nothing but awful reviews, plus, before that, I tried to stop by there on fridays (it says walk ins welcome) and she was closed at 4pm on a friday. SO now Im SOL. Any other suggestions? Im at a loss and only have 5 weeks left! I dont need any alterations (the dress fits to a T) just a bustle lol

    I used Pauline Miller (stitchesbypauline.com) and it was $10 for the simple bustle I needed.  Other people have given great reviews to Margaret Oldfield and Tony King.

    I forgot to mention the charge for my bustle seemed really inexpensive--whether that's because I was having other work done, or mine was really easy, I don't know.  On her website I think a bustle is priced around $35.  Mine doesn't have any ties or anything, though--it was just a couple hooks.

    Alterations by Frances. She is great and will get things done really quickly for you. VERY affordable too

    Did you try Tony King?

    I didn't need any alterations done on my dress and I am using Pauline Miller.  She is great!  The only other thing I am having her do is sew in bra cups, but that is it.  I would def give her a call and see if she is available.

    Just FYI, Pauline is going on vacation on the 19th.  I can't remember when she said she'd be back, but if you try to call her at that time, she won't be able to get back to you promptly.  She works extremely quickly, and she's cheap.  I had my final fitting last Thursday, and I had 2 of my BMs and my mom come with me to have her look at their dresses and hem them.  She said they'll be done by Wednesday of this week.

    That place next to B&F is Pat's Alterations and she is HORRIBLE. Rude and nasty and overpriced. You dodged a bullet by her being closed and you not getting in I promise. Try Sue's Creations in Montgomery, very reasonably priced and extremely quick and accurate. She made all 5 of my BM dresses (all different styles) in record time and they are perfection. She's a little difficult to understand, but the work speaks for itself. Also, Ann Firestone who is in the B&F alterations pink pages in fantastic as well.
