Wedding Woes

S/O band

Flags? Cool or not? The flags apparently have fans now. They're kinda neat from above, but I'm not sure how great theyd look on teh ground.

Wow. There's a dude. Not that I care, but it's the only time I've ever seen a dude in flags.

Dudes are much less skittish about sabers and rifles.

High fives, a drop spin and a windmill for my fellow flagger, O-Face!!There is a guy in the colorguard of the university here.  I think it would have been nice because it could have forced some better uniforms that the crap that we had to wear.

I hated the diddlyfarking flag girls. One of them beat the crap out of my bell with her stupid flag because she wasn't in the correct position on the field. Outta my way, beotch!! I got a bass line to carry.

Oh I forgot about teh rifles. I do like those. I dont think Ive ever seen them use sabers. Man, these children are making me feel very old, wrinkled, and fat.

The wimps at my HS didn't use sabers or rifles, just flags. Flags that they beat up sousaphones with.

Well, bizarrely enough, my univesrity has one of the best bands in the nation (or at least it was when I was here). From what I understood, it was as competitive to get into the flags as it was the band. But I haven't seen the band perform in years. But since I was in the music department, there was a lot of dating in between band, orchestra, and vocal majors. So I went to quite a few performances for dating sakes.

I tried out for the flag team with a friend, and got in. I was the only one who naturally could count time before instruction. My heart was always with the band and I played piccolo my first year, but they needed tuba players, so I learned and played that. Smallest tuba playa evar!

Cool, if it's 2 flags .. not cool if it's 1 flag on a extended pole!

Flags are a waste.  So are woodwinds for that matter.  Says the trumpeter.
