XP: First Gift!

FI just sent me a text message that said we got a box from Macy's! Our very first wedding gift has arrived. It sucks that we have to wait to open it now. Boo! If we open it, we will def use it, so its better to just wait. hehe I'm feeling so much better about the wedding. This is so awesome!!

    Actually, you really should open it now.Thank you cards for gifts rec'd before the wedding need to go out when you receive the gift, so that the gift giver knows it arrived safely.

    You may want to reconsider opening... it is ok to open beforehand and it will give you a little boost to get thank yous out for any that arrive pre-wedding. I just have mine stacked in the living room with my shower gifts waiting to be used when we return from HM. I have gotten 5 wedding gifts so far and it is very fun to open them!

    Another reason we are waiting is b/c we haven't found any thank you cards that we like yet.  We are still shopping around (just looked again this past weekend) so its just going to have to wait.  It feels like Christmas with the presents under the tree though.  :)
