Monty is 25lbs. I didn't get the fleece because he likes this huge towel I wrapped him up in as a puppy. He LOVES this bed. Really loves it.He's had it since 2006, I believe and I haven't had to replace anything on it or had any problems with it.

    Awesome to know.  Bennett is and Zelda both will be about 20 pounds heavier than he is, so we'll have to get the medium.  I'm really thinking about it, b/c Bennett is just starting to have a few problems getting up and down.  I can tell when he feels "old", I guess.  He'll be 7 this November which is about middle age for a beagle, but he's bigger than the average beagle, so he might age a bit faster.*puts head between knees*Not that I'm ever thinking about THAT until I have to.

    V, I don't think about that. Ever. It brings tears to my eyes and I just can't. I did buy mine from the daycare (new) already assembled, so ease of assembly isn't something I know about. I do know that the company is very nice and they will try to correct any issues you have promptly.

    Do you remember which cover you have?  I'm thinking the one that doesn't catch the hair quite as badly would be good for us, b/c they're both shorthair and it's ANNOYING.

    40oz Vinyl. I think I'd get him a slipcover now that I'm looking at them. Those are pretty sweet.

    The bed shaped ones are the ones they had in boarding for your dog. The rooms also had tv. Monty liked that part. His little report card always said he'd bark at them when they'd come int to turn his tv off for bed time.
