Florist and DJ Help

Hi, I'm in need of some advice! I'm deciding on who to hire for my reception in December. I've gotten two quotes from florist, one Ravenna Bloom and the other Metropolitan Market on Admiral. Ravenna Bloom is more pricey, but both can be within my budget. I'm just interested in if any of you have worked with these florists and can give some feedback...Also, Im trying to decide on my DJ. I've found pretty cheap DJs for around 400$, and some more expensive ones for around 1000$. I'm worried that if I go with the cheaper one, it will be lower quality. What are you guys paying for your DJ? Any advice? Thanks for the help!

Most of the DJs I looked at charged between 600 and 1800 dollars. Most of the price range is due to experience and what they can offer. I would base your decision on what you and FI want, but also recommendations from others. We are paying closer to that higher end of the price point listed above, but I wanted someone with the equipment, the experience, and who would be there the whole time. He was also highly recommended by my photographer and another DJ.

DJs can definately range in price. Ours is $1285 but with it we receive an MC and a DJ. They came highly recommended by a friend. I also went to my friend's wedding and never had so much fun which has a lot to do with the MC/DJ duo. They also provide some lighting in their packages as well. I am sure you can find a good DJ in any price point as PP mentioned. Our DJ is Event Source NW. I know if you look at the Knottie reviews, there have been several recommended. GL!

Ours is about $1500.00 including and extra ceremony setup, extra speakers for the outdoor area, a slideshow setup and lighting (including custom monogram on the dance floor) as well as a DJ and MC We found people on both sides in price ranging from $1000.00 - $2500.00... I think it is just a matter of who has the right package to suit you and the wedding you have in mind! Think about the specific things that are important to you and compare that with the quotes that you get....
