Girls Using/Used Lynn Michelle Photography

For the girls who used Lynn Michelle would you please tell me whether or not other people at your wedding were allowed to take pictures?  Also, for those of you who are using or have already used Lynn, could you please confirm that there is nothing in her contract stating that if anyone at your wedding has a camera and takes pictures that she charges you $500.I've got a crazy/slanderous person trying to claim Lynn's got some crazy clause in her contract and I want to prove that crazy person wrong.Thank you in advance.

My family took pictures, but I didn't have another pro there, and no one got in her way. I wasn't charged $500. I'm looking for my contract.

Since I take my wedding binder with me everywhere now, I have my contract right here.  She states she must be the sole photographer, but she means a professional photographer.  She just doesn't want someone else taking images that could be sold, that's all.I don't see anything about $500.

I just read my entire contract, and it only states that she must be the only professional photographer there. There isn't anything about charging you $500.

I wonder if this is the same photographer that poses as a bride on wedding wire and writes false reviews of my photographer? It's sad if you have to tear down other's businesses to try to build your own.

Good Lord, she's still dredging up the one bad review from another photographer from almost 3 years ago? Personally, with Lynn as my photographer, I don't need anyone else.  While seeing candids from my guests, will be fun, I really don't think my Uncle Bob is going to get me the shot of a lifetime.

Exactly. Some of the shots from my family/friends were horrible. A lot of them weren't, but I'm not framing them.I have seen that girl's wedding album too, and I don't know what she is complaining about. Her pictures look great. If she didn't like Lynn's style of photography, she shouldn't have booked her in the first place.

Isn't this a common clause in a photographer's contract?  Mine had the same thing.

It is a very common clause in photographer's contracts. My FI is a photographer (not weddings), and I bought a book on contracts so I could write them for him when he does shoots. Lynn told me that as long as other people with cameras aren't getting in her way, they can take pictures. We will have several pro photographers there (FI, FI's brother and sister, my grandfather), but she is the only one we will be paying, and the only one who will be welcome to take shots during the posed pictures.

This might be the same person who said photographers under a certain price point were terrible photographers and you were only going to get bad pics back.

I happen to have Jessica Mooney's contract in front of me right now, ironically. She has about the exact same clause:"Jessica Mooney shall be the exclusive photographer retained by the Client for the purpose of photographing the wedding. Family and Friends of the Client shall be permitted to photograph the wedding as long as they shall not interfere with the Photographer's duties"

The link doesn't work anymore, but if it's the same person that wrote the one bad review on wedding wire, then I too have seen the pictures and thought they were awesome. And ditto to Stephie & Buttercup on no $500 clause in the contract.

Someone has posted false reports/reviews of my wedding photographer too. She has been really upset about it. I agree it is sad when people think they hav e to bash other people to get ahead. I know my photographer has a similar clause in her contract but nothing about payment. She told us the reason it is in there is so that we can get the shots we are paying for. When guests start flashing their cameras it messes up the lights she has set up sometimes.
