Work Treats

Help! I was doing really really well watching what I ate and getting in gear and moving a bit and wa dropping weight so well. NOW my office has decided to supply 2 HUGE bowls of all kinds of candy, potato chips and soda. The soda i can easily stay away from but those little kit kats and snikers are killing what i have lost so far. Any suggestions?

Re: Work Treats

  • If you count calories, look up how many calories it would add to your day and ruin your efforts.  I can't lie though, I sometimes give in...it's usually on the days I don't workout though.  On the days I work out I eat much healthier haha
  • Is there any way you can avoid wherever the candy is set up?  I agree with pp, look up how much is in each piece, and remind yourself how much you'll have to workout just to get rid of those extra calories. And FWIW, I'm a huge proponent of being able to have a small portion of whatever it is you can't resist (eg, candy) every day.  A couple of hersheys kisses never killed anyone, or their diet.  However, you have to be able to stop once you start.  Try keeping a couple healthier snacks at your desk.  They have those 100 calorie snacks (m&ms, 3musketeers, etc).  They're still not healthy, but at least you know how many calories you're eating.  I love the new south beach smore snack bars.  They're great at killing cravings, and taste pretty amazing too.
  • I did read in the first 6 week abs diet (The orange one) that 2 mini snickers can be a treat, in moderation. I know it can be hard to eat only 2, but its an option.
