My FI went and told everyone at work that I rented out half an island for our wedding for just the two of us. I did look into our weddingmoon on a private island in Belize but they didn't do weddings on the island. You had to go elsewhere. To top it off, he didn't tell them he was joking. I told him NOT to do this. I think he wants people to think good of him or something. He doesn't need to do this, he is a wonderful man. He was laughing about it but I don't think it is funny one bit. He will be the joke of the shop when they found out the truth. He doesn't care. He says that I am too sensitive. I don't think so. I hate people that try to be something they are not. Do I need to lighten up, just laugh it off, or worry that he is trying to be something he isn't. Do they honestly believe this nonsense. I am so mad at him for this. It even has me second guessing this relationship. I don't want to be talked to behind my back when we go places as the couple who stretches the truth. What do you ladies think?

    It sounds like maybe this is not the first time something like this has happened. If so, I think you need to have a heart to heart, especially seeing how it makes you feel.

    It sounds like Mr. Diaz has quite the sense of humor! Do the guys at the shop know that he's a big talker in general? FI's sense of humor is almost completely perpendicular to mine, and it's been a big learning/growing process for both of us. I try to relax more and he tries to tease me less. People are generally more willing to bend if the other party is willing to bend a little bit, too. hth*m*

    I think you should sleep on it and if in a day you still feel the same way then you should definitely speak with him about it seriously. If it's to the point that you are second guessing things...then it needs to be discussed. The reason I say sleep on it is, I always see things different in the morning. I'm bad about jumping in with my opinion and then regretting it, so take a breath, relax, and then see what happens.
