Amy Bruntz - AmysUniqueCakes

For your information.  This is a copy of two emails I recieved from Amy.  These have been cut and pasted.  You decide for yourself if this is a vendor you would like to use for your "once in a lifetime event."  I wish I would have know.Written by Amy Bruntz:  (EMAILED one day before the wedding??????)   Sure glad I checked my email.  Phew!  I was hoping that I could get some info for the wedding cake I have tried to get intouch with Lindsey but I am sure she is way busy. These are the things I need: 1. Venue Address2. Time of Ceremony and Reception and if they are located in the same location. 3. What time I can get in to deliver the cake for you on Saturday. ------------------------------------------------------------------This is the latest email to me from Amy.  PLEASE READ CAREFULLY and see if this is indeed a person you want to do business with.  Let me get this straight.....If I retract my review I might see my refund?  What ever happened to the fact that the top fell to the floor, the topper and spinner broke, and the flavors were WRONG!  This is all about money with Amy.  Integrity is not a value she possesses.  My daughter searched long and hard for the perfect cake topper.  My daughter never saw the topper on her cake. So disappointing.   FYI:  My email works fine.Written by Amy Bruntz: I just read the review that you gave me as well and you know I don't know with those lingering around if I can refund your money...maybe you can delete it and I will be glad to refund the money. But I don't think that is a fair response given everything that I have done...and offered to do. Your venue didn't even have the freaking air on give me a break!! So please let me know if you would like to have the money returned to you.

Yikes.Nothing like blackmail from a wedding vendor! As far as the pp- I think brides should be able to read the bad reviews as well as the good. If the knot wants to remove it then so be it.

I don't mind people giving other brides warning, but you didn't give any other reviews. Perhaps you can tell us who you were happy working with?

I had a terrible experience with her too!  You can see pictures of my awful looking cake in my wedding bio.  When I expressed my disappointment, she only offered me a refund of $150 off an over $400 cake.  Oh well, I suppose it's better than nothing.

I used Amy for our cakes (regular + groom's cake) for my wedding yesterday and I can't say I had any complaints with the final products.  The process leading up to the wedding is another matter but I was impressed with the final products.  She arrived way early to a not-so-easy-to-get-to wedding site and they looked and tasted awesome.  I will agree, however, that she doesn't seem to be consistantly good in hearing other brides stories.  I will say I had some anxiety about her myself but my coordinator knew well in advance of Amy's reputation and made sure she didn't pull the same thing with me.

Thanks for the warning! Personally, I appreciate the details of a bad review just as much as a good ones (maybe even more so).  I've seen several reviews of Amy here and none had anything good to say beside the pp here. At least someone got what they were expecting!

Paige- she seems to be hot or cold. She's had a few awesome reviews as well as a few terrible ones. I just hope she brings her A-game to my wedding!
