Plus size PA brides

HELP!!! I went shopping this past weekend and ended up in tears in the dressing room.  My waist is smaller than my boobs, but because of "the girls" I can't seem to get many of the sample dresses over that area. Does anyone know of any places in PA that have more of a selection of plus size samples??? BESIDES davids bridal? I went there and didn't find anything. I also tried alfred angelo with no luck.  HELP!!!!!

I'm not sure where in Central PA you are...but Classic Weddings had a decent selection to try on. Weddings by Paulette has a few too. I was able to find my dress at Alfred Angelo.

as a busty woman, I sympathize with your plight!I tried Classic Weddings in Lititz, and as PP said they did have a decent selection.  I also tried Reifsnyder's in Lancaster.  Today I went all the way to Philadelphia to Baranette's Bridal, and I had a very good experience there.  (But it was a looong drive from Lancaster!)

mlh0968...I live in Lititz and keep hearing all about Classic Weddings so I may have to go up there.  Do you have any pictures of dresses you tried on? Did Reifsnyers have anything?  Or the philly one?  I went to Fancy Schmancy in Ephrata and basically had a break down.  The sales girl was plain mean, and not helpful at all and NONE of the dresses were larger than a size 10. The sales girl just kept handing me dresses to hold up to myself and then she would walk away. GRRRRRR....

Hi!!  I am in Lititz too, and also plus size - I DEF. recommend Classic Weddings. Elizabeth & her staff are wonderful and they have a ton of plus size dress you'll be able to try on. My girls got their dresses there and the guys are getting their tuxes there too. I wish I could have found a dress there that I liked, but I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, which I found at Alfred Angelo.  HTH!!

Oh I forgot... I don't have pics of the dresses I tried on at Classic, only Alfred. But I do have a pic of the dress one of my friends bought at Classic! (But just that one)

I feel your pain hun, my girls are a A cup on an apple bottom. I got my gown at Alfred Angelo in harrisburg and LOVE it. I also went to Country Threads by Gail for my alterations, she took my dress, made it strapless and now because of how it hugs me I do not need a strapless bra... fits like a dream and her price for alterations is so modest for the work she did (she was lovely).

I know a lot of people have horror stories about Bridal Town by King of Prussia but that's where I went.  They have a seperate building for plus size, I was able to try on like 10 dresses and they had lot more i could try....I found my dream dress there, was able to make payments on it and it wasn't too badly priced (1100 for my dress) My sales rep was really really nice.

I'm "pleasantly plump" too!  I absolutely adored the girls at Bridal Emporium in Elizabeth town!  They have an entire room for plus size dresses!!!  They were very non-judgemental and I was told that their average bride is about a size 20.  Happy shopping!!!
