Thinking...

I'm not trying to stress everyone out, but I just realized that it's 3 months til Christmas! I know Christmas is about our Lord Jesus, but I'm not ready for the holidays yet. Between work, my side business, our wedding/AHR, selling my house, trying to buy land, wondering what in the hell I'm going to do next year when I move, and regular every day life....I'm overwhelmed. For ex: If I don't go get my eyebrows waxed soon people are going to think I have two catepillers on my face. I mean geez! I'm not trying to play the "smallest violin in the world for myself" or anything, but Christmas???? Already???

Re: Thinking...

  • I must confess.  I've already bought two christmas presents!
  • I hear ya! I love the holidays, I don't know what I was thinking to plan a wedding like 2 weeks after Christmas. I'm going to lose my mind :) Joy.
  • Ha!  I was just thinking about this this morning.  I'm typically an early shopper but made a promise to myself not to think about until after our AHR on November 28th.
  • I agree!  The stress bug has bite me too- and I don't even know WHAT I'm so stressed about! I did already buy 2 Christmas present- they are packing bags for our moms.  I think FI and I will pass on big Xmas gifts this year for each other with the wedding coming up...
  • FI doesnt know it, but we are halfway done with the Christmas shopping.  And we went through the list and figured out what everyone is getting - last night we went to ToysRUs and got the RadioFlyer wagon for FI's niece (already $10 off, then an additional $20 off this weekend!!). We also decided no exchanging gifts this year between us!  We are doing a quick trip to PR before Christmas with my sis and her BF.But I am still stressed with everything else that I have to get done!
  • I should have mentioned that no one is getting a Christmas present this year except for our nephew (most likely). We just can't afford it this year. Everyone already knows that though. FI & I talked about it and we decided we can afford to spend like $20 pp in each of our families. Sooo... yeah, I don't know what. I hate NOT getting people presents.
  • Hahaha...that is so funny. I was thinking about Christmas this morning too. Trying to figure out if we are gonna be getting presents for all the nephews again this year.
  • Count me in...I can't believe christmas is almost here. we dicided that I'll get my family and he'll get his family and just add that it was from both of us (we usually get them something separate). But this year we are making it all about us and the baby only. October 1st is when I'll start christmas shopping, than all the money I've been saving for the wedding will be will be PROUDLY spent after the holidays on everything WR stuff. Yaayyy something that is worth it and for me!The caterpillers on the face was really funny LOL

  • My thoughts haven't progressed much past Nov. 1st =) unless it's to jump ahead to Jan. 23rd (AHR date) I pretty much skip the inbetween holidays to keep my sanity...lol
  • You're telling me.  Christmas unfortunately is an after thought for us this year.  Our plane lands from the honeymoon on December 23rd which gives us zilch time to shop.  So we'll either be shopping before the wedding in November, which won't be fun alongside wedding tasks, or during the honeymoon.
  • I don't even have time this year to think about Christmas, I cannot believe it is that close!!  My family is all in Colorado so we need to book our tickets ASAP!  Another very lean Christmas present wise here, we have to spend enough on all stuff WR!
  • I already have a closet full of Christmas gifts. We have gifts for Aaron's niece, his mom and my sister so far. Oh and we have 1 gift for my dad. I always get started the day after christmas, when I remember. It's the best time to get deals!
  • Oh I love Christmas so much more now because of the changes we made last year.  Due to the economy getting bad last year we decided not to buy anyone Christmas presents and if we did buy something for each other, it would be something for the house.  That was the best decision we could have ever made.  Fi is in the military so we're all about having a military family.  So last year all of our friends that didn't go home for Christmas came to our house, we had this huge meal, games, movies, tons of appetizers, etc.  We had such a blast that a lot of people came back the next day to eat left overs with us. Our holidays were so financially stress free since we didn't have to worry about buying everyone a present, and all we did was put up our christmas decorations and we send out Christmas cards.  Loved it!  Before I remember spending so much money on presents, a $300 photo printer for my dad, a $400 poker table for fi, every present has to top last years, it was getting so rediculous.  I thought I would miss shopping during Christmas but honestly no.  I did go buy winter clothes for myself though that was a nice perk haha I'm ready for this Christmas to celebrate with friends and family and veg out haha
