  We are having babysitters too, they are girls that work at a daycare center (I think are both around 20yo). They are coming this weekend to get a feel for the house and to go over what they expect for pay, but I think we are expecting to pay them a flat rate of like $150 each for 10-12 hours. I think it varies a little on how old your sitter is too. Is she a teenager? Maybe $10/hr. Compared to an adult which could be a little more, or just offer a flat rate overall.

  How many children? What ages? For how long? How old is the sitter? How do you know her? Would she be sitting at the reception or at someone's house? I guess those things would depend on my answer. I agree, if it is a younger gal then probably less, if it's a college student or high school senior or someone with more child experience then perhaps more. If she'll be alone with the kids in a house somewhere would also be different if she was just keeping them occupied in another room while their parents had a break away from them the next room over.   I'm also having sitters at my wedding. We'll be paying my two kid cousins $150 each to watch, play, with and feed the kiddies for about 15 hours!
