Garter

This may seem like a stupid question but it's just something little I want to check. I went to Notre Dame and found this really nice looking Notre Dame garter set, but it's navy and has a decent amount of ribbon on it.  My dress is not poofy... a slight a-line covered in lace... do you think the garter will show through (whether it be color or texture?)Thanks for your help ladies!

    My dress is pretty fitted, an A-line without any poufy-ness to it.  My garter is Ohio State-themed so it has red in it!  I'm planning on slipping mine on right before the reception because I don't think anyone will see it in the dimly-lit reception hall.  But I plan on taking my garter to my next fitting just to see what it looks like.  I'll let you know what it looks like.Oh and a pic of my garter is in my bio (under attire) and my dress is in my siggy.
