Seriously?

I had to run to the bank for work, and I went into Dunkin Doughnuts to get an iced coffee on my way back. There was a homeless man outside asking for money so I had a bought a doughnut for him. I came outside and handed him the doughnut and he threw it to the ground and said "cash only" WTF?! I'll be damned if I EVER throw money in your cup!

Re: Seriously?

  • It's good to know that all of PA's "homeless" are basically the same.
  • That was so rude!  I would have been p*ssed!

  • My Fiance also gives a cigarette to anybody who asks but he will never ask for one if he doesn't have any left. I always joke that he is passing some death along for free. One time, a guy asked for money at the gas station by our house, and he gave it to him. And a week or two later, the same guy asked him for money again, and my fiance said he didn't have any, just his debit card. Then the man turned away and muttered that my fiance said that last time. And that's when my fiance yelled at the guy and said that he DID give him money last time but he will never again. The same people ask us for money constantly, and they never act too grateful when we do. So I tell my man not to give them anything. I personally ignore them and make a sweeping motion with my hands to indicate I want them to get away from me. I have a pink tazer and I am not afraid to use it.I used to give money, but when you go to another country, and there are woman selling wild flowers on the side of the road instead of asking for cash, you know that these American "Homeless" are too lazy to care about. Like, many of you have said, many of these people have a home, and they are just taking advantage of people. There are way to many druggies in my city. Just yesterday, a old lady was robbed by a couple of young teens after she refused to give them a cigarette (which she would never have) and she told them that they were too young to smoke. Not to young to knock her down and steel her purse, though.
