How much did you spend on flowers/bouquets?

And were they DIY or did you use a florist? I have NO idea how much to allocate for this part of the budget. Thanks!

It would depend on your area because I know the price varies based on region.  I think according to TK you should allocate 10% but I could be wrong.

I agree with Elinick. Definitely depends on region. Have u checked with your local board on prices for theirs? Im in South LA and spent less than $400 for my bouquet, and flowers for 4 BM, 3GM, mom, dad, sister. The lady worked out of her house, but she was a 'certified' florist. I DIY centerpieces for about $50 for 10 tables.

Thanks ladies! Cat - my local board is capital D-E-A-D DEAD! It's pretty depressing actually lol. I don't know where the Memphis brides are...maybe they all get planners or something who knows.

Definitely depends on your region as well as the kind of flowers you go with... if you're absolutely set on having cymbodium orchids, you're going to pay a bit more than having seasonal flowers. I found a florist to do my bouquet, bouts, ceremony sprays (2), and corsages for about $300. She's using mini calla lilies, ivory roses, and hydrangeas (*sp).

I don't want to tell my budget for fear I'll get yelled at. LOL I'm DIY illiterate when it comes to crafts (houses is another story). We plan on using ranunculus, hydrangeas, parrot tulips, peonies (if possible), sweet peas, and maybe mini callas. I love flowers and love to garden so that was given a decent budget.

I'm going to do it myself and order off line. I plan to spend no more than about $300 but thats because I only need flowers for my, my 3 bridesmaids, the mothers and grandmothers. The guys bouts are feathers and the centerpieces are feathers as well.

Thanks for posting this.  I just met with a florist/wedding coordinator today and I wasn't sure whether or not the cost that she quoted me was fair or not.  It's a lot more than I intended to pay ($1,072).  The cost includes:  my bouquet, 3 BM bouquets, bouts for the guys, flower girl and Junior BM kissing balls, 8 centerpieces, ceremony decor, wedding coordination (rehearsal and day of), 4 cocktail tables with linens and sashes, and centerpieces for the tables.  I guess that's a lot for that price, but I'm going to shop around.  I have no frame of reference for this stuff.  I tried to create a budget off of arbitrary figures that I made up in my head.  I do agree with pp that it's based on your region.  Too bad your local board's not too active.  Neither is my area.  Is the state board dead too?  Although, my regional board is pretty slow, the state board has a lot of activity.  Maybe you can check out TN board.

I'm glad you asked this question too, because I'm putting our budget together (for real this time LOL) to present to our families.  I decided to go the DIY route so I'm glad I read about Sam's Club and ordering in bulk.  I'm scared to find out how much a florist in Dallas costs!

OK I found a great florist and fell in love and then couldn't turn back! I paid $2500. Yeah I cant believe it but the flowers were great and created great ambiance. So many people wanted the flowers that they didn't go to waste. He executed my vision perfectly. Only Callas and roses. When I get pictures, I will post.
