Yesterday was my daughters wedding and it really was perfect. I always found the reviews to most helpful to me when planning. I will try and remember all the vendors that I want to mention. DOT THE I STATIONARY. "A" The invites and the STD's came from here. Sara was very helpful and easy to work with. priced reasonably and a great product. ALLURE BRIDAL, westwood, MA "D" they have decent selection of gowns and a good range of prices, however, Customer service is VERY poor. Long story but I would not recommend them. POPPONESSET INN "A" very easy to work with and very accomodating. We worked with Aaron, who was very pleasant and fulfilled all our requests with out any problem. food was delicious and presentation was great. We had a surf and turf combo, filet and baked stuffed shrimp. I was concerned about the beef, it is easy to cook for one, but 150??? It was perfect! Everyone loved it. Cooked perfect. KEITH LAMIRE (DJ) "A" He was wonderful! played great selections, the dance floor was packed, packed, packed all nite. No gimmick, games, and NO talking. ALL ABOUT FLOWERS, JUDY FLIGG, "A++" The flowers were FABULOUS! Flowers were very important to us and she way exceed our expectations. She worked within our budget and made concessions, offered suggestion and generally fulfilled all the brides wishes. WHITEE TIE LIMO "A" we had two limos for the wedding party, a single town car and 2 party buses. If you are considering having a reception at the popponessett or new seabury, seriously consider providing transportation for your guests. the roads there at nite are very dark and winding . Throw in unfamilarity and a few drinks and it is very dangerous. plus the fact, the Mashpee police just wait for the receptions to end to bag drunk drivers. The party buses were very much appreciated by the OOT guests FRANK COOMBS Cape cod Photo and video. "A" of course we don't have the pictures yet , but he was organized, pleasant and moves things along very well.He has some fun shots and great poses. He also printed out and framed two pictures for the couple to have even before the reception ended. FALMOUTH JEWLERY "A+++" Jan Freeman, the owner, helped my daughter design some spectacular jewlery as bridesmaids gifts. Easy to work with, priced fairly and very creative. She will work with you to make sure the piece is exactly as you want it. My daughter also got her engagement ring there, and she worked with her DH to design that also. ALISON LISETT WILDES from Elegant engagements "A" hired her as a DOC. it was great having her, she handled any glitches with out having to worry about anything. She made it all very easy, we gave her all the decorations, special items ect at the rehersal. On the day of the wedding, she had them all in place. She also packed up the car with everything. She also printed out our programs and table card which came out great. The really good thing about Alison is you can hire her to do as much or little as you want. She charges by the hour. One of my daughters MOH hired her for her wedding next summer. THE MOVABLE FEAST "A+" We used them for a post wedding brunch. We had checked out several caters but his was by far the most reasonablly priced. They arrived at our home, set up everything, did some cooking here, served, cleaned up and left. They also included a bartender. I will definately use them again. I think I have covered everyone. I hope that you find it helpful. Would we do anything different? The only thing That I would do different would to forget the personalized cocktail napkins. It is true, no one even noticed as thy were rolling their shrimp tails in it. Happy wedding planning to all of you. It is great fun and truly a magical time. Thanks to all who have gone before for the advise you have shared.

Thank you for sharing your reviews! I had dinner at Poppy on Saturday night and caught a glimpse of the centerpieces, they were amazing! I'm getting married there next year (9/18/10), I hope the weather is as good as this past weekend. My fiance's mom is planning our rehearsal dinner, most likely a clam or lobster bake, but she's not from the area so she's looking for ideas. Where did your daughter have hers? Also, where did you encourage guests to stay? We're getting transportation as well (those roads really are very dark at night), so we're hoping to cluster everyone in one area. Probably Main Street, but there are a few Inns near Casino Wharf that have a beautiful view of the ocean. Thank you!

Hi...We had everyone at the seacrest for several reasons. The seacrest is directly on the ocean with both an indoor and outdoor pool. Has a restaurent and several bars. The wedding party and guests partied it up there the night before the wedding. this is the only place we blocked out rooms as we wanted everyone together, with available services so that folks unfamiliar with the town didn't really have to drive anywhere. The hotel is also very close to our home. My daughter made all the arrangements and did say the woman she dealt with needed a happy pill. The guests said it was clean and comfortable but tired. The rehearsal was originally suppose to be at the casino wharf, but due to a HUGE problem on their part it was quickly changed to the flying bridge. The flying bridge is generally not one of my favorite restaurents, but the views are great. The rugs needed to be replaced about 5 years ago... with that said, they did a great job. the food was excellent! the servers were attentive. Because it was hosted by the grooms family, I have no input on how they were to deal with. As for hotels near the Casino Wharf, there is the Tides motel, which is direct ocean front. there is also the Falmouth Heights motel which is not ocean front but walking distance to the wharf. Down closer to the harbor there are several hotel, the red horse? and two time share motels which are available for rent..names escape me. Hope this helps, happy planning.
