• I flame myself for reading the thread about the crazy b*tch who never had Sex ed on CC.

That's thirty minutes of my life I can never get back.

• I know I'm not supposed to flame myself, but I'm going to flame myself for reading that post title as "Has anyone ever frosted a dog?" three times.
• [QUOTE]I'm pretty sure cross-board flaming is against the rules, but it's slow and I'm loving E lately, so: I flame the girl on my local who asked if she and her FI could crash other Phoenix knotties' weddings for "inspiration." When a local board flames you, you know you've crossed a line.

But I just did it and the etiquette gods didn't strike me down. So that makes it okay, right?

(Seriously though, I'll get rid of mine if it's not allowed. I've never seen FFF rules laid out and didn't know that was one of them.)

I would totally do that if I still live in Buffalo. They're pricey, but not as bad as some teams/cities. Cheape than LA, NY and Toronto, for SURE.

If Fi and I move somewhere the Sabres play a lot we'll probably get a quarter season or mini pack of some kind. Right now we go to about 1 Kings game a year because we can't get it up a lot for the west coast teams.

I had a friend in high school who's grandfather had season tickets. It was rad.

Oh, I know that. And saying that people who get gastric bypass are lazy is assholish and just flat out false. But if someone gets it and then flat out lies and says they didn't get it, then they're kind of an asshole too.

"Also, might I add to those (1 person in particular that I know who got it done..,) Please stop LYING OBNOXIOUSLY about it and say that the "doctor just put me ona nutrition program and I've been going to the gym 6x a week" NO, NO, he didn't and NO, NO you aren't. YOU LAZY LIAR."

MsMery- does this ring a bell...? (this was my response to another girl who was brutally against gastric bypass)
Now, here's me thinking:
If someone has gastric bypass surgery- why lie about it and say that you worked your "butt" off by going to the gym and following a nutrition plan?

Yes, I understand that this person tried many things unsuccessfully to lose weight and the only option due to her health and life was to get gastric bypass- but embrace it, don't lie about it and give others out there false hope.

I apologize for taking up space on this board and post- but :)

Aw! It's okay. Miller is my fave, everyone else is just kinda... there. I mean, I love the team as a whole, I'm just not as big a fan of individual players as I was 10-15 years ago.

I agree with this. I mean, they themselves are therefore supporting the assumption that people who get bypass are just lazy and can't work hard enough to lose the weight. If you get it, own it, tell your story, revel in your success.

Edit: I actually didn't want to flame you, MacFreitas. I couldn't even remember the story, but I remember someone bringing it up not just there, but in another thread at some point this week. I get your point. Really. I mean, it's assholish to judge those people in general, but if you judge your friend specifically, well, see my comment above.

Also - I'll take your chocolate covered bacon and top that with chocolate covered bacon ice cream. It exists. For real.

[QUOTE]I flame all the people who were mean to Lizarellie in her first post. The "I've been waiting years to post" line made her sound a little douchey, yes, but I don't think it warranted some of the snark (I hate that word, but I don't think there's a better one) she got. I think some of it was bitchiness for the sake of bitchiness, Arv in particular. Then she backpedaled at the end. Alix said it there, but I just wanted to throw it out there that I agree with her.

I didn't backpedal - I got more information and changed my tune. Is that the same thing? My backpedal said the same, and admited that I misread her original post. Bitchiness noted.

I want to flame the woman who said that you shouldn't be on a wedding planning chat board if you aren't planning a wedding. I need to find out who that is so I can flame her properly.

Oh and I flame MissCourtney for giving tote bags to her bridesmaids or something similar with her name and wedding date on them or something like that. I read it in passing (and I don't even think it was here...it may have been, uh, that other board.)

Sorry for the vague flames but you get the flava.

But why be embarassed if you don't think it's for lazy people? Like I said, it's doing a disservice to others who may need to get that kind of help. I wouldn't get chemo and then pretend I cured my cancer by taking vitamins and eating spinach.

I could see not admitting to a nose job more because that's pure vanity.

• I haven't actually tried the chocolate-covered bacon. I've got to be in the right mood for chocolate, and usually that mood is not accompanied by a mood for bacon. That's probably something that will hit me when I'm pregnant.
