*Stephie (and any other CAKE GUYS girls)*

Just wondering how long it took from you submitting your signed paperwork to them charging the deposit?

I sent it in two weeks back almost, and called the day after to verify receipt. They still haven't charged my deposit, so I e-mailed over the weekend but am still waiting for a response. I'm trying not to be crazy obsessive lady about it, but I just monitor the wedding account like a hawk. I just don't want my CC floating around over there...

I am not sure since my ILs paid it.  But I will say that The Cake Guys are notoriously slow in responding.  That is most people's complaint with them.  I personally really never experienced it, but many people have.    You may have to send them another email this week or call back if they still haven't responded.

I agree, they were pretty slow to respond.

I think I sent them a check with my contract and they cashed it in a reasonable amount of time, so I can't help much.

If I were you, I would call and check on it.  Two weeks is a long time!

Good to know. I'll give them another shout this afternoon.

i think i would just be on their case about it, don't be afraid to come off like "crazy obsessive lady" it is your big day and money isn't something to just disregard. I paid my deposit the same day that i sent in and signed my contract so I wont be much help, sometimes people just get really busy and put things off, although 2 weeks seems a little excessive to me, i would DEFINITELY call them

Bottom line is:  follow up but don't worry too much about it.  Yes, they are slow but they are professionals and they have a great reputation.  As well as really yummy cake!  :)

I just called and talked to another girl who is now looking for my contract; someone else verified that they got it when I called the day after sending it in... Luckily this isn't an "OMG emergency" since I have a year, sjust more of a general concern about when my info is. Their packages were too good to pass up (especially after seeing the reviews on how yummy they were!)

Yep we did the $395 option. I saw in their FAQ that you could put the grooms portion towards more bride's cake so I opted for that since FI doesn't want a cake. We got a chocolate fountain through the Magnolia as part of our catering.

I think we will end up with the Key Lime cake since we both love Key Lime Pie, but I could change my mind after getting samples.

I did the package too! we got both cakes because we have way too many palets to please haha, we (well i should say my mom and i since he is gone lol) chose chocolate fudge for his, and for mine we did red velvet and white w/raspberry fruit filling, the samples were ssoooo yummy! if it wasn't 10 in the morning I would have eaten them all, and I don't even really like cake haha! But you heard right the told us about it on saturday, if you don't want a grooms cake they will put all of those servings towards the brides cake!

I have already told Ben I want a Cake Guys cake for my birthday and yes, he has to drive to Duncanville to get it.  Thank goodness they do more than wedding cakes now!

I think for Ed's Welcome Home for Forever in July I may have to get a cake from there.

this.  i think she's guilty as hell but unfortunately our legal system doesn't convict on the basis of my instincts.  i feel for the jurors.

i was to punch baez in his smug face.

Yes, Stephie is certainly guilty of loving cake. I think we all are.

Oh, TK, thanks for providing my laugh for the day! ;)
