NWR! Dog Fostering!!!!

As you may or may not know, FI and I are really BIG advocates of rescuing, adopting and fostering dogs.  We have 2 dogs of our own and have fostered some puppies in the past as a favor to the rescue org we got Foley from.  Well, I wanted to foster on a more regular basis, so we applied with a really great rescue org and we are at the last step of our application (home visit).  I am so beyond excited about it, i can barely focus. We should for sure get approved, but our appt is Saturday.  Please keep your fingers crossed!

    I'm sure they'll approve you but I'll keep my fingers crossed anyway!!! We foster kitties sometimes.  It's fun but heartbreaking when they leave!

    That's so awesome! I love dogs (and animals in general) and would love to do something like that someday. We bought a condo so we obviously don't have the means to do something like that right now. The other problem is I know I would get attached and want to / try to keep them. I saw this German Shepard puppy online that I wanted to adopt, she just stole my heart, but she is special needs and they are only letting her be fostered because they don't know how long she will actually live. :( So sad. I actually started crying when I read it, I think FI thought I was losing it.

    That is just awesome. I am a huge animal lover too but like and would love to be able to do this but like others have mentioned we just can't right now. We both are gone all day working. But I think it's wonderful that you are doing this to help out animals :)

    My mom fosters greyhounds and she gets so much joy from helping them. But, she also has 23 greys because it's too hard for her to part with them :). Keep us posted and share lots of pictures :)

    Oh that's awesome!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed :O) I love love love dogs, we have 3 and I wish we could have more but the city has a limit to 3 dogs per household :O(

    Best of luck to you both.....I adopted my little boy (not so little at 70 pounds) about 2 years ago when he was 10 weeks old and I love him so much!!  My FI and I wish we could foster/adopt more, but maybe when we get a bigger place.  Now I'm like a wistful mommy wishing he didn't grow up so fast....My fingers are crossed!

    That is great!  AS I said in another post I am a dog trainer-and where I train we are heavily involved in foster and rescue-and rehabilitation..so we love people like you willing to open your heart and home..!
