Flowers on a Budget, any recommendations?

I am on a tight budget and need someone to do my flowers. I was considering doing them myself but a lot of people told me to just get a florist. So I am going to look around and see if anyone fits my budget. Any ideas ladies??

I am probably going to do mine through Krogers. I have a friends mother who works in the floral department and she said that it wouldn't be a problem...plus I'm not having a TON of flowers either so I think this will make it more simple for her. I have also talked to a lady at one of the Wedding Mafia events who's daughter called Krogers Floral headquarters (I think she said it was in Tri-County) and arranged to do all of her flowers through them. She said they were gorgeous and they saved her tons. It's worth a call?

I have heard great reviews for All About Flowers in White Oak (Colerain/Westside area).  In terms of working on a budget, many people have said they're one of the best :) Also, if I may ask, what is your budget?  You might get more responses from brides who have had/have similar budgets :) GL!

Figure out exactly what you want and what your budget it, then contact florists. They should be able to give you an itemized quote based on this. Also, think about cheaper flowers that look similar to help save you money. I switched Cymbidium Orchids with Alstroemeria, and I save 75% on my centerpieces! And they were still UBER gorgeous!!!

I want pink gerber daisies, and lots of them. I think that is the only flower I want, and my budget is under $700

I worked in the floral dpt at Kroger before and we did a wedding.  I would def recommend them.  My manager did an amazing job on putting everything together and she didnt charge anything more than what the flowers cost.  Were probably going to go with them for our wedding

You might look into Fassler Florists or Susan Foy. They both gave me great prices and I'm on a budget too. I ended up going with Fassler, but my friend used Susan Foy for her wedding and the florals were gorgeous.

I used flowerman in centerville and it was extremely cheap. You can DIY as much or as little as you want (but they help you and basically make everything for you anyway) and they buy everything in bulk which helps. We had a TON of stuff...like 27 large centerpieces and a lot of outdoor ceremony and cocktail arrangements, not to mention all the bridal party stuff, and I think my total was around $1k. Since you want all the same flower it should be very easy to buy in bulk with them and get a good deal. www.thankyouflowerman.com Also, If you are even remotely interested in looking into real touch flowers, (they seriously look completely real and feel real, but are fake) or silk flowers, I know someone who has had a local floral business for 15 years....she has just started taking on weddings so her prices are low. I've seen pics and the bouquets are gorgeous. If you want her contact info you can email me! lakota99@aol.com

Try calling Tia Bierre Smith at 513-245-0086. She's jsut starting on her own after doing weddings for a florist for like 7 years or soemthing. She just did my friends wedding and the flowers were gorgeous. She's doing ours and has been awesome to work with (even all of my last minute changes & requests). My budget is quite a bit lower than yours, so I know she can do under $700. Just be prepared to be flexible- she's good at making small look great or picking another flower if your first choice is too much. GL!

Kroger is an option, but also check with local florists. They know how to keep things standing up (using pipe cleaners in the stems to keep them up) and they can guarantee their quality more.  email a few florists and see what they can help you with. You might be able to use the flowerman or even see if you can bulk purchase them from a florist.

TK had a special article thing on weddings in different locations under $10K. For Cincinnati they said to buy flowers in bulk at Bigg's. I'm sure you could find a flower arrangement class somewhere. Michael's used to have tons of classes so you and your ladies can have a flower arrangement party. Some florists can also let you rent silk flower arrangements , like for church decorations that no one will see up close.

I'm using Karen from Abbey Florist in Clifton. No one on here's used her before, as far as I know, so I'm hesitant to recommend her before I have a final review. Karen was great when I met with her, though. She has a very straightforward attitude, which I appreciate. She put together a sample centerpiece for me without any obligation on my part and her price was better than any other florist I talked to (and I'd gotten 8 or 9 quotes). And she was one of only 2 florists who agreed to give me an itemized quote.

Try Affordable Wedding Creations in KY, they are extremly reasonable and can follow any picture that you want. I am using them.  I meant w a lot of overly expensive florist looked at their ideas and incorporated that into what I wanted w the florist at Affordable Wedding Creations.

I would second Affordable Wedding Creations.  They were great, and you should have no problem meeting a $700 budget. I had 20 centerpieces, 8 BM bouquets, my bouquet, like 15 corsages and I was under $1,000 - and I had some more expensive flowers in my bouquet and the cp's.

Meet with Courtenay Lambert.  I meet with four different florists and she came in better priced than some of the florists who promote themselves as budget friendly.  Gerber daisies are affordable flowers so you should be able to get what you want from a florist out there and save yourself the headache.  Some DIY projects are worth taking on and others aren't worth saving the money for the added stress.

Peipmeier!!!! The centerpiece for the head table is only costing us $50 and we get to keep the vase. The centerpieces for the other tables are between $15-20 since they are each a little different.
