I feel terrible!

I was cleaning out my closet today I noticed that the veil that I borrowed from FSIL was coming off the hanger. So, I repositioned it on the hanger and I noticed that there were a few small holes at the bottom. When I examined it closer, I found a couple larger holes a goodsized tear at the bottom. I texted FSIL told her about it. I'm not sure if the tulle snagged on the beading or if one of my darling furbabies got ahold of it but I feel terrible about it.

    Oh no!!  I hope she wasn't too angry. Were you supposed to be wearing it at your wedding?

    That sucks, I wonder what happened to it. Did she respond? Like Fishin, I am confused... has she worn it already and you are borrowing it?

    Oh noo!  I'm sure she'll understand it wasn't intentional though.  I am assuming she is already married and not planning on needing it again... if not, maybe you can find out if they still make it and buy her a new one.  

    I don't have mine yet, but I feel like it should be stored in some kind of plastic to keep it safe.  Do you have something like that to put it in?

    She wore it for her wedding in 2010, and when I told her about it, she wasn't upset because it's just a thing. I was storing it the way she gave it to me: just hanging on a hanger. When I get my veil, I will most likely store it in a box or something to prevent anything from happening to it.
