mani/pedi/brazilian recs

I'm an oot bride, and I need recs for the best brazilian in town and a fabulous nail salon. It would just be for me and my mom. It doesn't have to be a super fancy place-I just want a mani that won't chip until after the wedding!TIA!

Go to Salon LA in Rookwood Plaza.  Ask for Leah for your waxing (she's the best I found when I was living in Cincinnati - she uses a mixture of strips for the outer areas and hard wax for the more...um...intimate ones to prevent any mishaps).  And her brow waxing is phenomenal as well, if you're in need of that. And ask for Anne for your mani/pedi - HANDS DOWN the best manicure / pedicure I've ever had anywhere.  I live in Manhattan and I STILL haven't found a mani/pedi that comes anywhere close to Anne's, and trust me, I've paid a bazillion dollars looking.  I always make sure to schedule an appointment with her whenever I'm coming into town.  I don't know how she does it, but her manicures last for 7-10 days.  It's incredible.  And they always look amazing.  And her pedicures - wow.  I have really rough heels (dry skin in general) and no nail tech ever spends enough time on them to make them feel smooth - except Anne.  Just an FYI - there's another nail tech at Salon LA.  She's okay, but if it's just you and your mom, I'd honestly tell them that you both want Anne, and to just wait for her.  The other tech doesn't do nearly as good of a job.  When my party all went, half of us used the other tech, and half of us used Anne.  The have who used the other tech were a little upset about the service they rec'd, especially when they compared it to what those of use who used Anne got.  Plus, for some odd reason Anne's prices are lower (I guess because the other tech has been there so long).  Anyway, yeah.  Go to Salon LA in Rookwood and book with Leah and Anne.

Wax by Alesia. She is in the Hyde Park area. She is AMAZING. Super fast, WAY below average price, and very nice. I would never go anywhere else after going to her. You are literally in and out in 10 minutes max and she does a fantastic job and makes you very comfortable. She's also been written up in Cincinnati Magazine. Her number is 321-8252 to book appointments. She's super busy so you'll probably need to leave a message and she'll get back to you asap. I couldn't have better things to say about her.Mani/Pedi Cleopatra nails on Colerain is good and pretty cheap. Also, L & T nails in Bridgewater Falls is nice, but a little over priced. If you're just looking for a mani/pedi I'd say you're probably pretty safe most places. HTH, enjoy!
