What Fabric for BM Dresses?

Ladies,My wedding dress is lace. I will get married in late June in the early evening. I am going for an elegant and somewhat classic look. What fabric do you think would be fitting for the BM dresses? Here's a link to my dress in case it helps.http://www.brides.com/fashion/dresses/gallery/wedding_dresses/vendor/designer/demetriosilissa/detail/118356?f=92%3a98&offset=6The theme of the wedding will be love and romance, in case that helps.

Chiffon would match your dress. How many girls and what are the shapes like. Please take that in to consideration.I am always one for satin (with a dress that fits right). Satin will show of the curves if not thick satin. My theme was the same. Black Love and Romance thru Friendship!

There are so many options in satin, but the ladies at the bridal salon, one of which showed me the dress that I ended up picking (b/c it was not one that I initially chose) - both of them said to stay away from satin b/c they thought it was too heavy for my dress material. They said chiffon, but I'm not sure as between chiffon, satin or taffeta. I don't know if chiffon will look "wedding" enough or if it will look like a pretty summer gown. You know? The BMs will wear long dresses to go for a more formal look. How would the shape of the brides affect the material that I choose? They are all on the spectrum from size 8 to size 12-14 or so. All fairly well proportioned from top to bottom. Most fairly prissy. There are 5 of them and maybe a Jr. BM.

Check out my married bio. My wedding was formal and they wore yellow chiffon dresses. They were all sizes as well. It'll give u an idea of whether u wanna go that route or not. I agree that satin can be a bit heavy for BM dresses that time of year. HTH!

You have a very good range of sizes. My wedding was size 2 to 22. I chose a really heavy satin that flattered all shapes and sizes from Bill levkoff.Sometimes, some fabrics show more curves. Chiffons are flattering to most with curves. For smaller people, chiffons kind of make them seem as if they really don't have any shape.
