Do you have kids?

Do you have kids? Does you FI have kids? If so how old. What are you doing to include them in the wedding?I have kids and so does the FI. He has a 17 year old daughter, 14 and 10 year old sons. I have 14 and 10 year old daughters and together we have a 6 year old. We are getting them promise necklace. Boys crosses and girls diamond pendants. They are in our wedding as best men and maids of honors and flower girl. We are having either a sand or candlelight. We haven't chose yet. What about you?

I have two grown kids.  My son is 27 and my daughter is 25.  My daughter will be MOH.  We asked my son to be best man.  He told us that a best man is a groom's attendant, and since we don't have a groom, he couldn't be that.  However, he was happy to be dude of honor.  I got both of them Swiss Army knives as their gifts for being in the wp.NotFroofy has never been married before, and does not have kids.

I have a daughter who will be our flower girl.  FI has two, a sona nd daughter who live in GA and it is doubtful that they will make it.  I hope that in the next year that things change and that they can.  what is a promise necklace?  We are doing a unity candle, joining our two families as one.

I have a daughter who is 23, and who got married just a few weeks ago herself :-)  My DH has none.  We did not include Chelsea in the wedding, because it was jut the two of us alone on a beach.  Personally, I don't like the "family vows" thing that I see some blended families doing.  I believe that the wedding should be between consenting adults ONLY.  A gift to the kids at the RD or reception is fine, but everything else, not so much.

We have four:  age 16, 16, 18, 19.  The three girls were my bridesmaids, and his son was a groomsman along with his best friend and my brother.  I gave the girls a pair of nice (fake) diamond stud earrings and a cute necklace they wore during the ceremony.  And we all chose a dress they can wear again to homecoming or prom or something.

We have three between us 13, 15, and 23. They are all in the wedding party. No vows or anything (that gives me the willies), but we will all do the sand together, five colors to show a blending of families.

I have 3 children- 2 boys (14 & 7) and a daughter (11).  My daughter wil be a jr. brides maid and my sons are going to escort me down the isle.  :)  This is the first marriage for FI, and he doesn't have any children. I am doing a "sweetheart table" at the reception for me, FI and my children.  So I guess it is our "new family table" :)    The rest of our WP will sit with their SO's at other tables.  I haven't even begun to think about gifts for the kids, or WP- but I am still a year out, so I have some time I guess.

I have 3 girls that will be in the wedding party if you look at my Bio they are there. He has 3 children 2 boys and a girl.  I am hoping that they will be at the wedding but don't think they will be.  Being in the wedding party is their involvement! My girls are so excited to see us get married. They adore my FI which makes my life easier. His children live out of state 2 in Cali and 1 in Georgia.  I think the sand ceremony is kinda cool but at the same time I think as reading more and more that the ceremony is between the Man and Woman and not the children getting them a token to remember that special day is a good thing but beyond that is to much.  I had someone tell me once that your children should revolve around you like the earth revolves around the sun. Not the other way around. You should always be the center. I have always tried to stick to that I think it is good solid advice. Keep the wedding focused on the to joining as One.

I have one 15y/o daughter, and she's lucky to even attend! It's in Las Vegas, and it's only by the grace of her grandfather offering to chaperone will she be there; I love her, but it's been a rough year for the two of us, and I wanted to party with the grown ups on my first trip to Vegas.

I have 2 children. A son who is 13 and a daughter who is 11.  My daughter will be my bridesmaid and my son will be escorting me down the aisle then standing as a groomsman. My FI has a 7 year old son but that situation is before the courts right now so we're not sure how that's going to play out.  FI wants him there and his son wants to be here but his mother wants FI to have nothing to do with him and moved across the country a couple of years ago.

Hi I have one son 16 and my FI hs two sons grown and married.  We have included the boys in the wedding party, they are Groom's Men.  I asked my son if he want to give my away, and he said no; so my Uncle will do the honors.  My father has passed away.  My Great Aunt is going to do the honors of light the unity candle, my mother has pass on as will.  This marriage is all about the joining of our families together.  Blended families are wonderful.  I am gain a mother, three brothers, and also my FI's son has made me a grandmother.  Life is good and exciting.  Enjoy each other, life will never be boring.
