  • 1. No, my wedding is well under $24k, although I like to think if I had $30k to spend it would be perfect.  I know for some that's even cheap. 2. A little over $1000.
  • 1.Our wedding will be if you count dress, rings and honeymoon. We're chipping in about 10k. It's PLENTY. In hindsight I should have cut more corners and I'm VERY grateful for every little bit of help my mom and step dad contributed. 2. $1300

  • I would shiit myself if someone gave me $24K for my wedding.  I'd use half for paying off cars or something like that. My dress was $350, and then another $150 for alterations.
  • I'm sorry future, you have just been voted of the island for your expensive wedding.
  • 1. Of course, isn't that how everyone thinks. Seriously, my budget is under that and enough for what we need. 2. Haven't found the dress yet but I'm staying under $1000
  • No.  < $10k.  I attended a $30k + wedding and didn't think it was worth it. $180.

  • 1. No. $12k budget and our wedding rocks. 2. $700 (including alterations)
  • 1.  No.  I've been married twice.  Both added together I don't think equaled $24 grand. DH and I split the main cost of the second one. Parents footed the bill for the first one.  I cut corners and costs everywhere I could the first time.2. First dress was a traditional bridal gown - long, full, white, etc. - cost around $300. It was a clearance gown, bought in the fall and was a summer/short sleeve gown for a January wedding.Second dress wasn't a wedding dress; was about $250.  Bought off the rack.

  • 1. Have any of you had a wedding $24k or over and thought it wasn't enough?Honestly, I'm not sure what our wedding is costing.  FI is the one with the demands & he is the one paying for most of it.  I'm just along for the ride.  2. How much did your dress cost?just over $1K with design changes.
  • 1. Our wedding was around $30 grand, but I thought it was plenty.2. $1,000
  • 1. Mine was about 20K and was gorgeous.  Spending more money, IMO, would only have added tackiness. 2. Dress was $1100.
  • 1. No, less than that and we stayed under budget enough to use some of it towards a down payment on our house.2. $800 + $140 for alterations.
