Sesh, you're probably not doing it enough. I bet that's the problem. Start yelling for Bastian to come help you with mundane household chores. If your H asks you to bring him something, shout "I can't! I have to keep my feet on the ground!" When answering the telephone, always respond to the caller's identity skeptically, asking "who are you REALLY?" I think if you do it with greater frequency, he'll see that you're terribly clever.

Oh no, Mel, he gets it. He just doesn't think things are funny after the 2000th time like I do. Clearly I need to sit him down to watch the movie again.

He's not a movie-quote kind of guy, it's very sad. I'm still working on him.
