Disney

So my FI came up with the great idea to act 10 and go to Disney for our HM.  I have never been and he hasn't for years.  We are driving down from PA (we both hate the airport and love just getting in the car and driving around).  So does anyone have suggestions of places to stop on the way?  Nothing that is massively time consuming.  We only want to spend about one night down and one night back.  But I would like to stop somewhere nice. And then the even more important question.  Other than the obvious (Disney, Sea World, Kennedy Space Center) is there anything we should really do while we are down there?

Re: Disney

 • Daytona Beach for sure. just stay a night and go to the beach
 • My family and I used to drive down to Disney every winter when I was little. I'm from NJ and depending on how early in the day we left we would either stop in Virginia or. . . North Carolina? I think, I don't really remember. We never really stayed anywhere nice on the way though, we saved that for actually being in Disney!
 • Which interstate are you taking for the drive down?  I know that is probably a dumb question but I have never been up north so I am not sure how the roads go.  I'm in NC so I may be able to suggest a place for you.
 • 95 is the main highway we will be taking down.  We want to take our time on the way there and back.  Disney is absolutely the "main attraction" but on the way I don't want to stay in some side of the highway creepy horror movie motel.
 • If you're willing to wander a bit off the highway, I'll bet you can find some cute B&B on the way. . .lots of southern hospitality! Also, if you're not from the south (or haven't spent much time there) you should really stop at a Waffle House for breakfast. The food is crappy, but it's really an experience!
