Children's Place Cards/Escort Cards

I am helping out a friend-she is doing table assignments for guests.  She wants to do one per couple-but where do the kids go and how is that worded?  Do they get one of their own?  Or all they all on the same?  Jane and John Doe- Table 1 (parents)Nancy Doe- Table  1  (kid)Billy Doe- Table  1 (kid) TIA!

Re: Children's Place Cards/Escort Cards

  • If they are all sitting at the same table, and all names fit on the card, sure you could put them all on one card.  However, if they have a separate kids' table, the kids should get their own.  She could also do separate ones for this kids no matter what, with the knowledge that most kids would love to have their own.We gave each person their own card because the names and table numbers didn't all fit on one card for each group/family that was coming.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • If you're doing table cards, do one per family. Address them the same way you did the invitations, so if the family includes an adult child, they would get their own table card (just as they received a separate invitation), but young children would be listed under their parents' names. Children are going to be distracted and won't look for a card, and parents with multiple children aren't going to want to grab 5 cards for their family when they're all seated together. This is of course assuming parents are sitting with their kids. If you're having a separate kiddie table, it kind of depends on the kids whether you would make them separate cards for each of the kids or just tell the parents ahead of time to look for the kiddie table.
