Music CD favors - has anyone done this?

Hi ladies!I'm helping a friend with her upcoming wedding, and she wants to make personalized music CD's as favors. Has anyone done this? I'm wondering where you can go to burn them (as I can't imagine helping her burn 100 CD's on my home computer - it would take days!). Also, is there an issue with the music copyrights?Any advice would be appreciated as I don't know where to begin :-) TIA!

    Hey there! I am doing the same thing as my favor. I honestly am doing the cd burning on multiple computers. My parents,my Fi, and my 2 are gonna be taking the load. Yes time consuming but you can make an event out of it like we're doing. My fi and I set aside a weekend we called a "date with Sinatra" to burn and label ours. We only have 75 but its still took some time. But, usually if you have a pretty current burning program it shouldn't take more than a couple minutes per cd. The longest part is putting together the playlist and its order hehe Copyrights for us aren't an issue because of the music being over 25 years old. But your not selling them so it shouldn't be a problem I would check though if your really concerned.     I'm working on this too. We are burning the cds from our own personal computer. How are you creating the cd cover/label?

    Technically you don't have the right to distribute the music for something like this, but since you aren't selling it to anyone the artists/record labels wouldn't really come after you. If anything they would see it as free promotion for themselves I'm sure. Here is a site that handles CD duplication and printing/packaging services also.     I did this for my wedding. We got CDs that looked like vinyl records and printed labels with our names and wedding date. We alo made CD covers/pamphlets that included a playlist of each song and why we chose it. On the back of the label we put a thank you to our guests. We burned around 130 CDs at home. It really didn't take that long and we did it in a couple separate sittings so we didn't get too frustrated. We used the burning time to assemble the labels and cd covers.

    My cousin did this for her wedding.  All of the songs that were included on the CD were other family member's wedding songs.  It was very nice.
